Duck Donuts

This was our first visit to Hilton Head and first visit to Duck Donuts. My kids can’t stop talking about these donuts and wanted to go back again the next day. We went at 11am and there was no wait. Such a fun experience to pick out your flavors and have them made right there. And they were very reasonably priced too!

We’ve all heard of ducks🦆, We’ve all heard of donuts🍩 But when you combine them, you make one of the greatest ever combos in the donut industry shout out duck donuts, we love peanut butter, paradise.

We placed a pickup order for our clients' request for donuts onboard their MAVCO private jet flight out of Hilton Head Airport. According to the clients, the donuts looked and tasted great and were very happy with the order! Thanks!

We will always be the biggest fans of Duck Donuts on the island! It’s easily one of our first stops when we start vacation! We met Scott and his mom years ago and they always treat us like family year after year! They are so welcoming and wonderful!! The donuts are our FAVORITE! So yummy and so fresh! They are made fresh and come out warm. What could be better?! We tried the breakfast sandwiches this year and fell in LOVE too! So so delicious! The breakfast sandwich on a donut is a must! We love the donuts so much that we even had Scott do our wedding donuts! He was absolutely amazing during the entire process start to finish! Kind, attentive, amazing! The donuts were a huge hit of course! We will be back each year for the most delicious donuts on the island and to see Scott and his team!

The person at the counter was absolutely delightful, which matches the sign displayed when you walk in. The problem is the wait. Our family arrived with two people ahead of us and it took well over 45 minutes to get our donuts.
How is that possible? It is obvious they have a process problem. Mostly, it seems they prioritize online orders. While waiting, we watched several dozen boxes get made for DoorDash and the sort.
Even if there is a rough estimate, people with families can make an informed decision. By the time we received our donuts, they were turning people away. The donuts are good, but there are other alternatives on the island.

The employee who assisted us appeared visibly annoyed when coming out from the back, which made the interaction uncomfortable. The prep area was noticeably unclean, and the shop was completely empty. With no customers around, it would’ve been a good time for the staff to tidy up rather than sit in the back. The doughnuts were decent, but the overall service left much to be desired.

A latte is not brewed coffee with a splash of cold milk, I ask for it to be remade as an actual latte and again brutal, which for $7 I should have gone to Starbucks. I get this is a busy place and tourist trap but dear god it needs to be cleaned. Also the point of wearing gloves is ruined if you touch your head or nose then keep on touching food or toppings. The name is Duck Donuts so I didn’t have high hopes for the sausage egg and cheese sandwich, which was just as good as a microwaveable one and for $7 that’s unacceptable. The donuts are decent but the station where everything is prepped needs a deeper clean than a house full of hoarders. So 0/10 1000% will never go back. $43 is insane for a dozen sloppy donuts, a “latte” and a frozen sandwich.

Donuts are delicious, of course. We go for the service. The owner of this duck donut location has to be the nicest guy I’ve ever met. He pays special attention to his customers and makes the kids feel special. Visiting here is part of our HHI tradition.
