Service was great, very accommodating. Pork egg rolls were good. My wife ordered shrimp lo mein, not good. Too salty. Wide noodles and shrimp were bad. I had the crispy pork - never again. Deep fried spare rib bites. Very chewy, fatty and inedible. I asked for a little bit of spice and ordered mild. There were so many hot peppers that were on fire that I could not eat. Meal was a bust, we will not return.

The spicy crispy pork was terrible. The entree consists of pork ribs (bone in) cut into 1" pieces, breaded and deep fried. Why??? You should give a description of the dish if you're going to serve something like this. Unfortunate waste of money.

I am one of those people who finds that they are inevitably disappointed by restaurants after 2-3 visits. This is not the case with E-Tang. It is consistently excellent. I either order takeout or eat in the restaurant at least once a week. The service is always prompt and the servers are courteous. I am so happy to have this restaurant on the island.

The vegetable lomein was yummy and a large portion. The menu had a lot of other vegetarian options as well.

We are locals and were happy to have such a good experience at E-Tang. This unique establishment is casual, nice and they have a huge, unique and authentic menu. The food was tasty and best of all Lobsang Pemu was a breath of fresh air! She served us with a beautiful smile, knowledge, attentiveness and excellence. Can't say enough about her, especially. We'll definitely be back! Thanks E-Tang team, Diane & Billy

We got sweet and sour chicken(@$15) and General Tso's jumbo shrimp (@$25) carry out. The chicken was sub par, like you'd expect from a mall or airport Chinese fast food option. The shrimp was ok but not anything I'd go back for. Service was fast. Ambience was a counter and some rabies and booths with high ceilings; had the feel of a place that was just taken over and not planned for atmosphere.

Enjoyed delicious early dinner which included pork egg roll, soup dumplings, salt and pepper shrimp and shredded pork. All were delicious but my favorite was the salt and pepper shrimp. The restaurant was practically empty when we arrived but as we were there several people came in for take out. The restaurant was quiet , and clean Hostess was pleasant and knowledgeable. The location was a little hard to find and while parking was easy to find at 4:30 pm I can imagine that it could be a little tight later in the evening.

The service is good and the food is excellent. In my opinion, the food is the closest to what I had on business trips to China. I love it.

First time here, at the suggestion of my sister, who lives on HHI; I was a little underwhelmed, but I could have ordered the wrong things, or it could have been that I'm used to very excellent Asian food elsewhere. The cheese wontons (essentially crab rangoon) were excellent--very fresh, very real ingredients and hot; the spring rolls, however, were more like a vegetarian egg roll--the wrapper was not translucent rice paper--it was an egg roll wrapper, something I was unfamiliar with for a "spring roll". The scallion pancakes were doughy and not flavorful. Ditto for the pork bao buns--they were good size and the filling was tasty, but the dough was a bit underdone. My BIL had the spicy cumin beef, which he very much enjoyed and Sis had the house lo mein, which was delicious. I ordered the orange chicken (I really wanted some Udon noodle dishes, but none were on the menu), which came with white rice and some broccoli. The sauce was pretty thick and orangey with fresh orange peel and had pretty good spice that kicked you after a few bites; if you don't like spice, ask for it without or you won't be able to finish the dish; portions are huge. Again, I'd go back a second time if only to try other dishes that appealed to me. Note: no cocktails (I was hoping for a Mai Tai), as they only serve beer and wine. We were the only ones in there after a round of golf (around 3:15pm) but several take out orders were streaming in while there. Shout out to our server, who was friendly and chatty and gave us some "Chinese Wisdom" about the lore of chopsticks.

I cannot say enough about the delicious fresh food, the spot-on service and the very charming Pema at Etang tonight. This gem will be a regular dining destination for us.

We were n town just for the weekend. I looked for something close and found E-Tang. I'm glad we decided to eat dinner here. I've had a lot of fried rice in my lifetime and their was far and away the best I've ever had! Everything looked wonderful on other tables. I had Dan-Dan noodles with Hot and Sour Soup. They were excellent but the chicken fried rice my wife ordered was fantastic. Can wait to visit Hilton Head again and hit E-TANG!

We ordered Mongolian beef, walnut shrimp, chicken-fried rice, and pork egg rolls. Everything was a little bland. The fried shrimp in the walnut shrimp were good, but almost no walnuts. The meat in the Mongolian beef was tender but not much flavor. The fried rice was very light and was almost like white rice with a few pieces of chicken and some vegetables added. Nothing was bad just kind of meh.

Best Chinese cuisine in the area!!! IMO, rates as high as best Chinese restaurants in New York City Chinatown!! Service is outstanding. Value for the dollar, excellent!!!

I was so excited to try this place as I'd heard it was pretty good Chinese food. Ordered an appetizer of soup dumplings...not hot and not good and probably bought frozen. Hot and sour soup was the best part of the lunch. I had the garlic eggplant. I've had a lot of garlic eggplant at a lot of different places (not around here) and this was ok...nothing I'd return for. My friend had the sweet and sour chicken. That was barely hot fried chicken pieces with a bowl of sweet and sour sauce. The chicken had no flavor. No veggies, nothing else. Just little pieces of cut up chicken fried in breading. Will not return.

We enjoyed an outstanding Chinese New Year celebration yesterday with 25 friends, family style. We were in the upper level private room (15 steps to get upstairs - no elevator). The delicious interesting dishes kept coming, the timing of which was perfect, giving us a chance to get up and walk around, and visit together between courses. Here's a sampling of what we feasted on: Tomato egg drop soup (this was the first time I had it; reminds me of egg foo young), fried and steamed dumplings, egg rolls, garlic cucumber salad, dan dan noodles, crispy spicy chicken (VERY spicy), eggplant and green beans, shrimp with broccoli (may sound boring, but not so), shredded pork in garlic sauce. Thanks to all at E-Tang for your wonderful service and for providing a fabulous culinary experience!!
