Mama G's Pizza Bistro and Bar

Just got an email that Mamma G’s is permanently closed. I guess being kind to your customers, serving quality meals at a reasonable price and not adding gratuities to a bill when the service isn’t that good. Oh well, next!

extremely disappointed.....not only in the quality of the food but, the service was awful and the person delivering the food was extremely rude. our server was not very attentive to our table. it took a long time for 2 glasses of wine and a beer to arrive. she said the bar was busy. what was worse was that it took between 45 minutes and an hour for our pizza to arrive. when it was brought to our table the person told us it was only 30 minutes on the ticket (in fact, the way he spoke to us was extremely rude and disrespectful)...if that was true our server must not have put the order in. what we did notice was that it appeared that our order was delivered to the wrong table and then returned to the kitchen.....when we asked about this, the server told us that was not the case, she said it was in the over. what probably occurred was they were reheating it because when the pizza finally arrives the crust was so soggy it essentially disintegrated. after the food was delivered to our table, a new server came to us to ask how it was, she then remained as our server until we left (wonder what happened to our original server)...needles to say, we will not be returning

Staff at the bar was amazing. The eggplant stack was ok, but the wings are to die for. Loved the RAB band. Will be back when they are there again! Boogie on ?

Have visited several times in the past. Visited again last Saturday. We waited 1/2 hr for our hot wings to be delivered, the wings were prepared supposedly hot ? Came out breaded and one of the worst we have had. Ordered a large supreme pizza. It came out under cooked. We did have a bottle of wine. With tip the bill was $100.00 and make sure that yo have cash because there is a charge for using a card. All mixed drinks are a measured pour. Very disappointing meal. We will not return.

So, it was my daughter's late 24th birthday celebration. I picked Mama G's cause it was close to me and also on her way home from work. Before we even opened the the door you could taste good food. The "owner" ? was so nice and helpful, the waitress...sorry I'm old and forgot your name...was so dedicated yet classy and non obtrusive. I usually have subpar restaurant experiences so I take it as it rolls. But tonight was spot on.This place has class, yet not too stuffy....a full bar, tables and booths which I am a fan of. We are coming back soon. We had pizza and drinks tonight. Everything tasted so "clean". We will be back to sample your other offerings. Great job!

Had an absolutely fantastic experience at Mama G's! The owners and team are incredibly kind and welcoming. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Alongside their amazing coffee, they surprised us with a special treat that left us wanting more. I have eaten at Mama G’s several times now and had all incredible experiences! The food is amazing as is the staff! Also love the atmosphere! The owner, Glen, is always there to greet you, ensure you are enjoying visit, and wishes you well when you leave. The bartender, Karen, is a pleasure to talk to and she is quick to get your drink order, and Rick makes an amazing pizza!If you are looking for a nice evening out go to Mama G’s! BTW as good as the pizza is, you have to get the wings!!!!

We loved this place! I’d say I’m also a hard critic. Best part about this Resturant is that they use all clean ingredients! Gluten free, local products, except the wine (which is imported from Italy), cane sugar only in the sodas, etc. Glenn and Valentina were dolls; they took wonderful care of us! This is a must return!! Great experience!

I wish i could give more than 5 stars. The food is out of this world. The owner was so incredibly nice and they put so many fine details and care in their cooking and you can taste the difference. Our first day in Hilton Head and what a start! If you haven’t been here, you need to make this your first stop. Wish I took pictures before I tried it all but couldn’t wait.

We popped in on the night Idalia hit due to a lack of options, and MAN should this be on your list for when you visit Hilton Head. It’s hard to impress Jersey natives with pizza outside the northeast, but this place really hit the spot. Food was great, with clearly high quality ingredients. Atmosphere was excellent, with a personable owner and friendly staff. And don’t skip the gelato

Shout out to our waiter Kenneth from last night. Super attentive and great at his job. It was only after we were completed with our meal, did we realize he had only been there three weeks. He is doing an awesome job. Second to none is the food of course. We had the tomato pie, which was delicious and two different kinds of wings. We do miss the Paninis and the pasta dishes and we hope you bring them back in the future. Highly recommend Mama G’s.

We loved our meal and experience here. We’re from NJ so we know good pizza! We got the Fico, meat lovers and capo pizzas- they were all delicious! Especially the Capo. Had the pear and goat cheese salad which was so fresh. We were so impressed by the owners commitment to fresh ingredients. We followed up our meal with some amazing gelato, the salted caramel was heavenly.

So the salad was good. Drinks were good but the pizza ? sucks. Wings were delicious. Where's the spaghetti ? to go with the meatballs. Way over priced and unfortunately won't return for 26 bucks for a pizza. It was like a cracker.
