Mi Tierra Mexican Restaurant Hilton Head

My friend expected meat in her Chile Relleno but got potatoes. All else was fine.

Excellent pitcher of margaritas. Friendly service and the maître d’ checked in on our table. The Chili Colorado was outstanding, full of flavor and tender beef. The fish tacos were delicious. Honduran skirt steak meal was deliciously seasoned.

I ordered online. It gave me an option for sides. I did not want rice. An option for side was a shrimp enchilada. I selected the option and it did not add any extra fee so I added it. When I picked up the order they asked me what I wanted. Of course, I will take a shrimp enchilada rather than rice. I said I wanted the beef and the shrimp enchiladas as I ordered. My order included 2 sides of beans, no shrimp enchilada!!! Besides the order being wrong, It did not have any flavor. Everything seemed bland!!! Sorry, wish Java Burrito would have been open today!

The food is the main draw. The vegetable fajitas have cauliflower, carrots and lots of green peppers. The seasoning was mild and a bit on the salty side. There was a whole plate of rice and beans with pico de gallio and guacamole, accompanied by 4 tortillas. Mixed together, the flavor was very satisfying.With all of that, I didn't have to order a starter of guacamole; but their guacamole is made fresh and is very creamy.
The sports TVs clash with the music, which would be much better alone.
Seating for one is limited. Definitely geared for families and large groups

Rating it a 1 because the past year the service has declined so bad. Very rude, act like you are bothering them, servers are sitting at the bar and do not check on you.
Food is great but we will not be going there anymore because of service.

This is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant outside of Mexico. In a laid-back atmosphere, they serve strong drinks and great food. I'm not on the island very often, but I will always try to make time to visit Mi Tierra.

Chile Colorado is often made with great flavors and the cheapest, toughest meat chunks a restaurant can find. I've ordered it countless times at places across the country, and nobody else has ever made it as tender as these guys did.
