Great good ! Good selection of clearly labeled vegan options . The brown tofu was great . I also enjoyed the plantains. If you’re in the area and want a flavorful meal at a fair price come here !

I came here with my extended family which includes vegans, vegetarian & GF, picky omnivores and toddlers. All 9 of us thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes we ordered and many shared. I had all of the vegan mains that were GF (curry tofu, stew peas and brown sauce tofu) between several of us, two vegan appetizers, and several vegan sides (jerk potstickers and coco bread) and they were all very flavorful and unique among them, as well as versus the standard vegan options at restaurants. Coming from an area with many vegan and vegetarian options, my bar is pretty high. The cocktails were also tasty (try the Boarding Pass). The wait staff was really nice and accommodating of our large group. The downsides were that the food took a long time to come (there were 9 of us, so understandable), it was a little hard to find (the website and phone number suggested it was only in Bluffton, where they have another location and there wasn't signage from the road and it's in an office-like building) and the building it was in had shared bathrooms that weren't well kept (not the restaurant's fault). In all, I would give it a 5.0 for restaurants that have vegan options but aren't exclusively vegan. Happy Cow doesn't allow 5 stars for that category, so this is the best I could do
Delicious, authentic Jamaican cuisine. I had the jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantains and caribbean slaw. My only complaint is that I wish the serving of chicken was bigger. I got the curry chicken to go and it was delicious as well. The Plantains are a perfect dessert in my opinion 😋

One of the few jamaican restaurants that has kept the quality and taste original like back home in Jamaica. I rate this restaurant in the top 5 of jamaican restaurants that isn't americanized out of the whole country, I am a teuck driver so I have tried almost every restaurant from every corner of the united states and this one takes me back home. Keep up the good work guys

This place was SO good. Recommend the jerk chicken, collard greens and the curry shrimp. They were very knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and we were able to get something that was gluten free and dairy free. They even made the plantains in vegan cooking oil instead of butter so I could eat it even though I didn’t request it. They paid very close attention to detail and 10/10 hospitality. It was a family owned business and we had a great conversation with one of the owners children. Some of the best Jamaican food we’ve had in the US!

The food was just ok. I had oxtails, rice and peas, and steamed cabbage. The steamed cabbage lacked flavor as compared to other Jamaican restaurants. The oxtails and rice were just ok. The price of the food and the bar drinks were a bit high.

Red Stripes it’s Wonderful!! Service is excellent! The food is delicious, well balanced, well seasoned, and very authentic! It is so nice to have flavors of the Caribbean available here on Hilton Head Island! 🏝️
Red stripes is a place I highly recommend. The space is also beautiful and decorated and gives you that “island vibe“ while you’re enjoying the sounds of reggae in the background during your meal. Oh, the cocktails are also excellent! The mixologist knows how to put together a great drink!

We had an amazing meal at Red Stripe Caribbean Food in Hilton Head! We ordered the jerk wings, jerk chicken, and goat curry, along with sides of rice and peas, Caribbean slaw, plantains, and collard greens. Every single dish was packed with flavor--perfectly spiced, tender, and absolutely delicious. The jerk wings had just the right amount of heat, the goat curry was rich and satisfying, and the sides complemented everything beautifully.
Service was warm and attentive, making the experience even better. We ate every last bite and left completely full (maybe too full, but no regrets!). If you're looking for authentic Caribbean food in Hilton Head, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!
