As a local who is GF, it is so wonderful to have a location that has lots of GF items to choose from! I have had the pizza, the bagels, the brownie and it is hands down the best GF foods I have ate! My husband stops in here at least once a week and picks me up something because I love it so much!
Love this place! The strata and cinnamon roll were amazing! My husband even loved this place and his is not GF. Happy we could enjoy a meal together where my dietary needs were met with confidence. Sad we came here on our last day because we definitely would have stopped in more during our trip. Will definitely be back and will be ordering some goodies to ship.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere.
My family is celiac. It was nice to be able to pick up some gluten-free sandwiches to bring to the beach and not have to worry about gluten.
My mother in law got a lemon blueberry cake from the G Free Spot in Hilton Head Island for my bridal shower! They made it exactly like the pictures we showed, turned out absolutely beautiful! Everyone at the shower RAVED about the cake and how amazing it tasted, one of the best cakes all of us have ever had! My fiance isn’t the biggest cake fan but had two slices! I can’t say enough about how amazing this family owned business is, the sweetest people! We will be getting more cakes from here in the future! Highly recommend going to see all they offer :)
It’s hard to do gluten free. They did a great job 😁
I'm 100% addicted to this place now. Bacon, egg, and cheese on a GF everything bagel, 10/10. GF coffee cake and GF brookie, 10/10. Hot honey lavender latte (i'm drooling again). I have celiac disease so I was thrilled that they have two separate kitchens (one for gluten items, one for GF items). The girl that took my order was so sweet and helpful. Will be a regular here everytime I come down!
This is usually our first stop after crossing the bridge to the island. It’s also now one of our last because everyone wants us to bring stuff home for them. Everything we’ve gotten here has been awesome! The brookie, key lime pie, brownie cheesecake…literally everything is excellent.
One of our favorite places on the island. My husband recently surprised me with a GF Coconut Cake and it is the best I’ve ever had. We buy all our goodies there. It’s very clean and welcoming and so far we’ve enjoyed everything we’ve tried. Nichole is wonderful and so are Ian and Ms. Laura. We always enjoy seeing them when we come in. I highly recommend this place for both a sweet treat or a savory breakfast sandwich. It’s so nice to have a safe GF place to shop. And it is run by truly lovely people.
Cute little GF spot. You have to visit and try their stuff even if you aren’t allergic to Gluten. They have nailed their desserts!! The lemon bar was delicious. So, was the brownie and walnut cookie.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Now, how do I take G-free spot to my town?
Appreciate the variety of offerings, lovely display case, cute setting area, I had the Red Velvet Cheesecake and it was sublime. Nice portions too.

Lovely little spot for any celiacs vacationing on HHI! We ordered breakfast sandwiches (multiple GF bread options!), coffees, and some treats to go. There are separate kitchens and there were plenty of gluten-full sandwich options for my husband. We enjoyed everything but the brookies were our favorite! My only regrets was not being able to made it back to load up on treats before leaving.

I ordered a GF German Chocolate Birthday cake for my Sweetheart. It was Sooo Delicious!!! I couldn't tell it was gluten free, the taste and texture were exceptional! Thank you, G-Free Spot, for making great GF food options for the Lowcountry. See you again very soon. : )
Tried 4 items yesterday and was shocked at the heavy baking soda flavor or some other off flavor. Good base flavors, maybe just a bad day to try. Have had a lot of gluten free baked goods and nothing quite as rough as this. Most of the items were scones or bread we got, so cookies may be better.
Edit: edited from 3 ⭐️ to 4 ⭐️. Mostly wanted owner to see to make improvement. Will come back next time I am in the area and try a couple items to see if they are better.

For being a gluten free spot it’s ridiculous that they have a $3 UP CHARGE for gluten free bread for a sandwich. But really good gluten free pastries and sandwiches. Just unfortunate about the up charge.
Dietary restrictions: Very good for dietary restrictions but they do have a $3 up charge for bread on sandwiches.
