Wish I could have given it 5 stars. I ordered a simple item, Fish n Chips today, single serving 9-20 around 1 p.m. at the bar. I'm being detailed so you can go back thru your records so you will know this is legit. The fish was enormous, it was very eye-appealing until the last 4 inches of the fish as the batter was mush, not greasy mush, just not cooked fully. You can tell it wasn't fully immersed in the oil as the other end was perfect and crispy.
Just a tid bit more attention to that please..thanks

Our first time visiting Sandbar. Waited an hour for a table (Friday night - so understandable). When our party of 8 was seated we had a huge pillar between us. I asked the hostess if this was it and she said “at least you’re next to each other”. A lady at the bar saw the situation and asked if they actually put our party of 8 at a table like that and we said yes, she couldn’t believe it. So here’s the thing, if you don’t actually want to sit with your party and want mediocre bar food in a loud environment, this is your place. If you want a decent meal and to be with your party, pass on the Sandbar. Waitress was nice and attentive.

We've been all around the Sand Bar and never noticed it! We were looking for something different that we have never been to. My girlfriend found it online and when we pulled in the parking lot we new where we were and had been to a couple of other places many times and just didn't pay attention. Wow! The food is phenomenal! The service from David at the bar was great and what a cool atmosphere! Well worth going! We can't wait to go back when we are back in the spring!

The crab bisque yes please. My friend and I shared a bowl and still brought some home !! Amazing. She got the grouper and said was delicious. I got the single fish and chips delicious and flakey and still took 2/3 home.

We stopped for lunch and we're not disappointed. We ordered Caribbean Chicken with plantains and also ordered a spicy shrimp and sausage sandwich. Both were very good. Our waitress was Angela and she was great and she steered us to those meals when we inquired about them. Excellent choices. Beachy vibe here and busy place in season.

Not a bad place. Touristy. Food was average. My salmon was not cooked to my instructions. Tasted like it had been frozen. Salad was good. My wife’s salad was again just ok. Lots of patrons when we were there. Very busy. We will try again. One experience may just be an outlier. Give it a try.

The place was hopping with music and an outside bar, patio, and plenty of people. We sat inside at the bar due to limited seating available outside. It took a little while to get a drink but it was busy so I have no problem with that. We ordered a salsa and queso appetizer which came in little side cups of salsa and queso and a side of swirling fruit flies. It’s an “open air bar” but I’m sitting inside so that’s a little off putting. We ordered the shrimp tacos and fried fish. The fried fish was overcooked to the point the fish was chewy and dark. The shrimp tacos were skimpy and served in hard/crispy flour tortillas that were not appetizing. We both determined the fry oil needs to be changed. We returned the fish and asked for scallop tacos to replace. The scallops were burnt and not fresh. We left hungry but the bartender was nice and understanding considering how busy it was. I’ll give it another try because previous reviews look great. I’m not picky eater, just disappointed.
