A diamond in the rough! Not on the beaten path but definitely worth finding because food is consistently delicious. Nothing this good needs changing and we’re glad they’ve stuck with the original concept over the years! BEST hush puppies on the planet, grilled shrimp is superb, flounder is terrific and sides are equally good. Stand in line, place your order, and then find a table. Worth the trip!!

We visit this establishment every time we're in Hilton Head, SC. Whether lunch or dinner, arrive at least 45 minutes prior to opening. The line can be long.

I had grilled grouper, coleslaw slaw (with my dressing), vegetable of the day (butter beans), and hush puppies. The grilled grouper appeared and tasted as if they used a hamburger press!! I did like the outdoor seating.

The cashier at The Sea Shack— the woman with glasses working this morning was extremely impatient. Her explanation was unclear, and when I didn’t understand, she raised her voice and acted rudely. Her attitude was unacceptable for someone in customer service. The food was decent, but I won’t be returning because of the cashier. There was no welcoming feeling at all.

We wanted to try this restaurant based on Google review. Google Map says it closes at 3pm, so we didn't make it the first 2 days on the island. We were able to pick up to-go lunch on our last day. We both had blacken fish dishes. We highly recommend the restaurant.

Amazing fish and seafood. Love this spot as it focuses on the basics and not dressing up the fish with sauces, etc. The sides can be underwhelming but not bad. One of my favorites and go-to spots on the island :)
