The food was good but not outstanding and very pricey. Our server Madison was excellent overall. She asked how I liked the pork chop cooked and I said pink in the middle/medium and it arrived well done and dry in most parts. It was edible but not how I like it. The white sauce with it was bland and tasteless while the greens were too spicy. The polenta was cooked just right. Our other dishes were much better.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner with delicious food, attentive waitstaff, and a spacious dining room. We had the filet, halibut special, risotto, bread, and cheesecake. All were cooked to perfection and flavorful. A welcome respite from the hustle and cramped nature of downtown Charleston establishments.

Food was very good. Ambience has a hotel feel to it but service was very friendly and attentive. Took a little longer than expected to get refreshed on drinks but overall was still very good. Prices were a bit expensive but dishes were plentiful and delicious. I would recommend for a nice meal without the hassle of driving around the island or staying on the resort property.

Almost $40 for this abomination of food no bigger than a dinner roll.
Even the waiter was embarrassed to serve us this.
Don’t go here. A single entree and a single drink costs you near $100.
Absolutely ridiculous. Do better.

3 burgers and the blue crab soup cost $114. Not worth the price. Over priced for Burgers.

I highly recommend this place but skip the desserts! The service was amazing . We had a great server. The appetizers and entrees were fabulous. Very flavorful. One dish was better than the next . I would have given 5 stars but the desserts were a big disappointment. We sent them back . The “smores” tasted like a bottle of cinnamon with roasted cloves . The cream puff had no cream . The pastry chef tried to get too creative and missed. Classic example of ego over customer needs .

Super disappointing experience. No idea why they would say on their menu and on their website that they can accommodate/adjust menu items for those of us who are gluten free, when they don't or won't. Waiter basically had the attitude of “too bad for you, we don't substitute”. Ended up with an appetizer that they took out the crackers and an entree that they took out the grains. No substitutions available. I've been GF for 5 years and never had a bad experience like this where the restaurant won't even try to work with you. Especially for the prices here! They need to take that GF note OFF their menu! We would avoid at all costs, even if I wasn't GF because their attitude was that they just don't care.

The hostess greeting was very friendly. We had our choice of seats outside which is a very nice area. Our server was friendly and helpful, but often disappeared inside for long periods. Cocktails and wine were perfect. The she crab soup was EXTREMELY salty. I like salt, but it was a lot even for me. My wife and I both ordered cioppino. It was very tasty and the crispy bread provided was perfect for sopping up the broth. However, each bowl had four clams which barely opened. I was able to force mine open (which really isn't recommended), but my wife could only easily open two. She wouldn't chance it. We showed them to our server, but there was really no reaction. Not sure we'll return.

We absolutely loved Coastal Provisions. Chelsea, our server, was the BEST. She understood our daughter’s gluten allergy and was able to ensure her lunch was delicious and kid-friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast, lunch, or dinner - especially if there are any food allergies involved.
