This place used to be fantastic. Great food and great drinks. The last few years the food has gone downhill as well as the service. The Goombay Smash was the highlight of any beach trip, even this has fallen short. Recipe is online and you can make it better than it is now for less money.

Got a beer only. Wanted to sit outside, they said no. Wanted to sit inside with my beer, again no. They said I had to sit at the bar. Bar stool not comfortable, so I left. Felt like I had to purchase more stuff in order to be able to sit at a table. Was planning on ordering food and more drinks. Took my business to another near by establishment.

What an incredible experience we had at Coconut Joe's! My daughter and her boyfriend got engaged on the beach last night, and they did so many amazing things to accommodate our special occasion. They allowed us to watch the proposal from the top floor. Then, at the height of their busy summer tourist season, they pushed together a couple of tables so that we could all sit together to celebrate over dinner. I'm so grateful my future son in law chose that location to pop the big question. Highly recommended for their flexibility and consideration!

Have been coming here for years I always ask for Randy! He’s friendly , courteous , keeps an eyes on the food and drinks so you don’t even need to ask for another round, I love this place the food is great! Coconut shrimp , the drinks the bartenders don’t miss! Not weak or water down good flavor ! If you’re lucky enough you catch some live music or dj and it’s a stone throw from the beach and parking.

Food was virtually flavorless, even when I could see visible seasoning. Pina colada didn't taste like it had any alcohol. Fries were especially not good. Fish tasted alright (although again lacking flavor), grouper bites were probably the best food item. Def a tourist trap but there's not many restaurants in this area, though i would look other restaurants. We were also certainly not the only people that felt like this cause there was a table that was left with a couple full pinas colada, lots of leftover fries on platter, and even a half eaten sandwich someone didn't bother to take.

Great place right on the water. The grouper bites are fantastic, we got those 2 days in a row. Our server on our first trip was not attentive - we had to get our own silverware and waited for 30 min with empty drinks and eventually found her to just get our check. Our server on our second trip (Bella) was FANTASTIC - very attentive and on top of it, interactive with our group, etc.

The food was not that good,my scallops were small and fishy tasting and they also were crunchy like sand was in them It took 45mins to get a table and another hour to get the food People were very nice and the atmosphere was good
My food was excellent, though our gin and tonics tasted watered down. The waitress was less than stellar, however. We were out of drinks many times. We had to chase her down on a few occasions even though the place wasn't packed. It seems you cannot get really good servers anymore. Check out Heavy's barburgers close by for the best server around and better mixed drinks.
