The Refuge offers an incredible dining experience with outstanding food and exceptional service. The menu features fine dining options, including the popular Faroe Island Salmon, which is sustainably farmed and cooked to perfection. The "Steak Night" special is a highlight, and the Trigger Fish with Garlic Dill Buerre Blanc is also a must-try. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is cool and vibrant, although the dining room can get loud with large groups. The restaurant is also a great spot for a quick bite, with outstanding menu options and delicious appetizers, perfect before heading to the beach for seafood. The Refuge has quickly become one of the favorite restaurants in the Lowcountry, known for consistently excellent service, cuisine, and a welcoming ambiance. The staff, like server Travis, are attentive and knowledgeable, making each visit special. The restaurant is modern, clean, and friendly, with great service and food. Dishes like She Crab Soup, fresh Lobster, a huge crab cake, and grilled shrimp are highly recommended. The espresso martini is also a favorite among guests. While most dishes are well-prepared, some may be less crispy than expected, like the wontons, but overall, the experience is memorable and worth returning for.
