“We met Dennis a few weeks ago over at a spot in Awendaw that was having music. Our friends, Fiddlin' Faye & Tyler Marletti were there performing with Daniel Steele. (They wanted our Boiled peanuts and we took 'em). When we met Dennis, we talked awhile. We told him we'd come see him with our Carolina Fire Bites and we did. Great sport!! The atmosphere was amazing, so many people and excellent service. We will definitely be back,next time we're bringing our famous boiled peanuts. Best to you all, Uncle Chuck's Boiled Peanuts“

“Mainly 5 stars because I came up here from the beach on my 30th birthday and they delivered with cold beer and the best Crispy Chicken Salad I’ve ever had. Crispy fried chicken, halved figs, candied pecans, hearts of palm, a delicious truffle dressing over some romaine. I mean good gawd almighty.“

“I had a half price pizza for lunch while sitting at the bar. I accidentally left half my pizza in a leftover box but quickly realized and turned around to go back and get it. Sadly, someone had thrown the box away but they offered to make me another full pizza with no charge. The service at the bar was tremendous and the food came out quickly at the perfect temperature. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner with friends.“

“First let me start with the service the owner is incredible and so is his staff they were helpful,accommodating, and absolutely wonderful. Second the food was amazing I got twelve wings and they were some of the best I’ve had in Charleston. Jumbo (absolutely huge) cooked perfectly and beautifully sauced. Would recommend to anyone near and far“

“Just wanted to thank our waitress, Liz, who was just the nicest server ever! She mentioned she was relatively new to the job but you would have never known this with our large party at lunch time. Hiring this young lady was a smart thing. She was kind enough to take a photo of us all together celebrating our brother’s birthday. My family loves going Ireland’s Own because it’s such a nice atmosphere. And with a server like Liz, it made our day even better! Thank you!“

“Very neat environment to eat in. Two separate bars inside and out. Lots of eagles memorabilia and a really cool VW bus turned into a table. Flounder tacos were very filling and had just the right amount of flounder in it without being too fishy. The crab dip is also worth getting especially if you would like to try crab but cannot afford a full cluster. The only thing that could make this place better is reducing pricing. While the food is great, the portion sizes could be small for some people at the price they are. A slight decrease would likely bring in more traffic for the food. Service was also prompt and not too invasive which is appreciated. Very good vibes in this place.

This place was awesome.
A.C.'s is definitely a dive bar, but I can say it was the best burger and fries I've had in a long time, maybe the best in Charleston. I went in for a quick bite while staying close by, I ended up there for 6 hours!
I had a few drinks and played pool with buddies and the college kids. A.C.'s Bar and Grill has a great vibe, the bartenders are nice, food service was fast and efficient, with a screen that would display your order # for pickup at the kitchen window. The chef was very friendly as well.
The pool tables were easy to work into, and man these folks are good. It is $1 per round, and there is an ATM if you need cash. There's a decent amount of seating, both at the bar and in the booths. Standing room can get crowded at a certain point, especially with people keeping clear of the pool tables. The bar can become crowded but everyone was good with queueing.
The locals know how to party and keep it classy. We were there until closing time and there was never an incident involving fighting, yelling, cops, etc....
❗My only complaint is the overhead vents or pipes would consistently drip water— on your clothes, food, and drinks. I slipped a few times as well from the puddles that would form on the floor. This could be a one-time or seasonal thing due to humidity and the air conditioning. As I am not a local, I will give them a pass, just maybe mop it occasionally?“

“Love this Place. Every time we visit the Charleston SC area we stop at this place. Love the environment, the people, the live music. Love their food and Oh my God....their pork rings served as side! Uffff. Awesome. Super!!!! Recommended 500%.“
