Wine is good, food is so good too, especially the flat breads. I wish I had found it out earlier.

If you don’t think a party will want to sit outside, maybe give them a call or heads up before promising them a place to sit and then telling them you don’t have a spot for them to sit. The manager also seemed less than concerned with accommodating to our party, which is a great representation of your service! We looked forwarded to visiting but now will not be recommending to anyone.Edit post business response: The noted “later time” that was offered was redacted shortly thereafter. We were offered to come back 30 minutes later. After discussing as a group and agreeing to do so, we asked the waiter to confirm this would still work. He asked the manager, came back, and informed us it likely wouldn’t be ready upon our return. He said, and I quote, “it will not be possible to seat you tonight”.

server or cook did not follow order instructions -thus I watched my wife eat her flatbread and then she watched me eat my burger-always nicer to enjoy your meal together- on the plus side , the food we ordered was good

Really great atmosphere. We enjoyed the charcuterie and wine selections. Clean building and the staff were very friendly and prompt.

In addition to the 48! wines on tap, great food. I had an awesome burger: surprisingly the pimento cheese perfectly complemented the hot pepper bacon jam, served on brioche bun. Probably 1/3 lb patty. Amazing combination. Happily I opted for potato salad, which also was slightly different and yummy. Partner and I had seasonal vegetables (carrot, Brussels sprouts, asparagus that night) which were ok but not as spectacular. Wife had shrimp and grits, also great. Good dining experience. But of course the 48 wines "on tap" was unique.

We closed on our condo in August 2023 and are still trying out all the amazing restaurants Seabrook & Kiawah have to offer. This restaurant greatly exceeded our expectations. The entire atmosphere is a special experience by itself, then add in the incredible food & wine and you’ve got *chefs kiss ? *.I can’t decide which was best: The wine bar or the Warm Crab & Artichoke dip or the Scallops. Probably one of the best experiences we’ve had on Kiawah. Highly recommend. The staff is amazing. The food is amazing. Everything. 10/10 ♥️

Bright, cheerful, and very busy! I have never eaten in the back dining area, just the front and outside when it's warm. I always get the crab cakes, they are my absolute favorite with just enough breading to hold all the tasty parts together. Lots of great wines to sample and explore. One of the best restaurants in the area!

Worth checking out for date night.Great food and plenty of wine selection.Ordered pork schnitzel with fresh made wine gravy, mushroom rizoto and vegetable medley. And for appy we had baked brie.Everything was exceptional and not a bad price for the quality of the food. Nice interior and good service.Great place to dress up and take your significant other or someone special.

The wife and I came here for dinner. As we have never been to Kiawah before we were recommended to fortyeight if we wanted to stay downtown. The wife order the falling in love, and loved it. I got the old fashion and it was to be expected, still very good. We got the garlic fries for an appetizer and the garlic aioli was absolutely out of this world, it was so good. The wife got the shrimp and grits and she said it was amazing. I got the meatloaf, and I have never in my life thought I would order meatloaf. The mashed potatoes were perfectly creamy, the asparagus was perfectly cooked, and the meatloaf was both moist yet not soaked. It was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The meal was not cheap but was way worth it.

We had a great lunch hanging out at the bar at 48. Interesting concept...they give you a card and you can select your own wines in 1, 3 or 6 ounce pours. As they are priced per ounce, you can try as many wines as you'd like for a reasonable price. We selected our wines then ordered food. Service was good, but definitely not a busy day or time. We ordered food and it came relatively quickly. Burger with garlic fries for BF and beet salad with berries for me. Both were very good. Garlic fries were exceptional! I ordered light fare so I could try some cheeses. At 2 selections for $12, I thought that the portions were nice and served with an amazing compote with bacon! Just delicious! I think that this is a perfect place to do lighter fare/tapas and try different wines! Servers were attentive. Great little shop/restaurant.

I wanted to love this place SO MUCH. It's located near our home and is an easy date night stop. When we got there, the hostess was not very friendly to us, and even thought we had a reservation we had to wait and weren't invited to sit at the bar. I mean, that's fine, whatever. Beyond that the service was great the rest of the night. The food portions were rather small for the price we thought (you can go to gin joint downtown and get a similar size thing in a place with better drink options). Lastly, while the wine experience was fun, the reds are wayyyy over chilled. We only drink reds but switched to whites while here just so we could actual enjoy the wine. If you drink a lot of dry reds, I would recommend branching out and try something else here. I give it a 3 because the food was still good and like I said the service got much better. Had we shown up late, not just ordered charcuterie, and only liked white wines it would have been a 5.

Excellent food & service. Small, limited menu but it's excellent. Superb wine selections.
