Gluten-free options were super limited. They did have GF pasta but my only options were eggplant Parmesan for $26 (which I didn't order) or a very small salad for the entree and ice cream for dessert. The butternut squash salad was really good, just very small - very pretty center of the plate, not filling. The food was really good but I left hungry due to few options. I thought the prices were very high too. Restaurant was very crowded and noisy on a weeknight. Service was great. In their defense, the menu doesn't mention gluten-free at all - I was going by the previous reviews and others had said they had options.

5 stars for the pizza. They couldn’t decide how long it would take though. 45 minutes when I ordered. Another 20 when I arrived. Then another 30 when I checked again. I’m ok with a place being busy but get your timing right! 1:35 for a pizza is ridiculous but I kind of gave them a pass. It was a crazy busy night. Stay away if there’s a concert.

It's been a while since we last had pizza from La Tela Pizzeria. We have eaten here multiple times in the past. We were always pleased with the food and the service. Unfortunately, this last time we were highly disappointed. We had ordered two pizzas take-out: one was the mushroom pizza and the other was the sausage pizza. The mushroom pizza had an excessive amount of mushrooms - more than 1 cup per slice (arugula in a separate container due to take-out order). The sausage pizza had minimal sausage, at least compared to the amount of mushrooms on the mushroom pizza.

While we appreciate the interesting pizza combinations on their menu, it is not well-rounded overall. Disappointed - we will not be back.

We absolutely love La Tela! We have been coming here every time we visit and stay on Kiawah, and we will continue to come back. This place is always packed. They do not take reservations so you definitely need to plan to arrive early when they open (or plan to wait!). And I'm not kidding when I say you either need to arrive early and plan to wait in line before they open or plan to wait 45 min to 2 hours! The space inside is small and a bit crammed so keep that in mind. I hear they do a pretty large volume of take-out orders so that may be worth trying as well. Luckily if you do miss the mark and end up having to wait a bit for a table, there is plenty of shopping and things to do around Freshfields while you wait.

Everything is made homemade from scratch from their bread to their pizzas to pastas. The homemade bread they bring out to the table to start is so delicious! Nice and fluffy and hot. We like to dip it in olive oil with some salt, pepper, parmesan, and red pepper flakes. Yum! We love their basil pizza and most recently just tried their fig pizza which was amazing! Such a nice blend of sweet and salty. All of their salads are tasty. My dad and brother have also had the meatball grinder which they loved.

Whether you are staying in Kiawah or Seabrook or live in the area, La Tela Pizzeria is a must try spot for pizzas and pasta!

Because we were a party of two we were banished to the bar. However, several couples came in later and were seated at tables for 4. Typically like sitting at bat, but service was slow and food was not up to expectations based on previous visits. No one asked how was food but how could she as she was busy mixing drinks. Very disappointed!

Sitting a table across from a bathroom is unacceptable for any restaurant; please reconsider this policy

My family and I went for lunch and it was hands down the best pizza we’ve ever had and the tiramisu.. it was heaven. I’ll be thinking about this place for the next year until we come back. Also, I never caught her name but the blonde girl (I’m so sorry I don’t know you’re name) who made sure I got my leftovers when I left without them, you’re truly amazing. Thank you so much!

We were visiting Kiawah and heard great things about this place. It did not disappoint. They were packed when we showed up (which is always a good sign), but the staff handled it like pros. Super friendly and on top of it even with the craziness. The crispy calamari and pizza were great too. Fresh toppings and the perfect amount of char. The wait is long but worth it! We will be back.

No matter how good the food is, bad service kills the deal for me. When I asked the manager about the status of our order, she seemed to want to argue about it rather than check.on it. The food was great, but I'm not going back.

Rude staff and the food was mostly burnt and dried out. All this after waiting 1.5 hours and another 45 mins for the food to come out. When I pointed out the pizza was messed up they informed be it would be another 45 min wait. This place is absolutely horrible and the way they treated us is unbecoming of such an establishment.
