“Each time I come down to stay at our family’s home in Kiawah, we always end up walking down the beach to The Sanctuary’s Bar to end our evening. This year the staff was A++++. I have to give a special shoutout to Nel, Britney & Mr. Wesley for going above & beyond the entire week, each night we visited. From seeing some of us waiting in line & before we even got to the front of the line, knowing & having our drinks ready or to helping my grandmother onto our golf cart as she is handicap. They made our family have the most fun we have had in years down here in Kiawah. We look forward to being back over Easter. Thanks for everyone who took care of us throughout the week!”

“Souvenir stainless steel cups with cork bottoms are $50, first alcoholic drink is free then unlimited re-fills on soft drinks! Every year changes colors! Big pool and kiddie pool, tons of water features, kiddie slide and 2 big water slides for adults and big kids!”

“Every aspect of The Ocean Room is perfectly executed. To arrive there, you walk through the grand lobby of the sanctuary hotel, eventually making your way up a curved grand staircase that leads you to the classic iron wrought doors, behind which the ocean room awaits. Inside, the dining room is a grand and warm room filled with lowcountry art and portraits, with white pressed tablecloths and a formal setting overlooking the stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean. The food is also equally as impressive, with the caviar presentation, the superb quality steaks, amazing sides such as the lobster Mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and accompaniments of various sauces as well as my personal favourite the roasted garlic. A grand conclusion to a grand stay at Kiawah Island.”

“Such a kind team! The staff seems genuinely happy to be there and are always so nice to see. I work in Freshfields and will occasionally mobile order Jersey Mike’s for lunch. The ingredients are always so fresh and my modified sub has never once been messed up!! Wish everyone at this location the best and always thankful for their quality of work. “I had the best time visiting family friends in Kiawah! The Loggerhead Grill made me the best tasting pool-side salad I've ever had. The lettuce was fresh with a great crunch and it was loaded with protein. The view was beautiful, I hope to be back soon.”

“I’ve gotta say — the new Ben & Jerry’s is hands down one of the best additions to the neighborhood 🍦 The staff? Unreal. Super friendly, welcoming, and somehow make you feel like you’ve been coming there for years — even if it’s your first visit. Now let’s talk ice cream… I’m a cookie dough guy, and let me tell you — this place absolutely delivers. I went in thinking I’d grab a scoop and be on my way… next thing I know I’m standing there debating if it’s socially acceptable to order a second one immediately 😄 It’s the perfect spot to swing by with family, cool off, and enjoy something that honestly just makes your day better. Mount Pleasant definitely scored big with this one. 10/10 — just don’t blame me when “quick stop for ice cream” becomes a regular routine.”

“We recently visited Charleston and forgot to make dinner reservations, that’s when we happed on to The Royal Tern. Despite no reservations, they gladly seated us at a great table. The food was exquisite, everything from the Raw Bar, the fried shrimp, to the halibut. The halibut was prepared perfectly and was so unique; the ingredients worked together in delicious synergy. My cocktail was on-point, too. As a home cook, being able to watch the chefs prepare the meals was fascinating. Mad respect for their craft. Met one of the owners as he was making his rounds in the dining room, and he was a lovely person. He even printed a map w/shortcuts for us since traffic is so bad in the Charleston area. Highly recommend, will definitely be back next time we’re in town.”

“I won't repeat what everyone else has said; I want to say this place is great for vegetarians. Only one veggie entree -- the cauliflower with harrisa -- and it was one of the most delicious things any of us, even the meat eaters, had ever had. Four of the five appetizers, which are generously portioned, were meat free, so everyone feasted.”
