Marilyn's Kitchen was phenomenal. Our entire family was thrilled with every bite we took. it's really hard to make a family of 6 equally as satisfied and tonight it happened. The Fried chicken fish and shrimp were so good. but, let me tell.you about the collard greens and honey corn bread, OMG, TO DIE FOR.. I Cannot wait for them to return. thank you all. oh, did I tell you how friendly they were? and very sanitary. I've been to.numerous food trucks. I was very impressed.
I Enjoyed the food and customer service. Authentic Charleston soul food. I Had wings shrimp and collards. Taste like home 💙 my son ate it all and he's a very picky eater🙌🏾
I had never heard of this food truck before, but it seemed to have good reviews and it was close, so we tried it. I got the fried fish, collard greens and honey cornbread. I tried the cornbread first... it was amazing! Flavor was delicious and it was not dry at all. Then I tried the collard greens... again, absolutely delicious! Full of flavor... I was so impressed! Then I tried the fish. Struggled a little with the fish. I like that it wasn't greasy, but it seemed a little overcooked. All the ends and edges were a little hard. And even the fish in the center seemed just a little dry. Not much flavor either. As I was eating the fish, I realized all the edges just seemed excessively hard/tough. Then I looked and saw the fish bones. So I pulled a couple bones out that I saw, but after looking more closely, there were bones everywhere. So many it wasn't even worth it to pull them all out. Then I started feeling a little nauseous about all the bones I must have eaten, thinking it was just overcooked edges. But back to the delicious collard greens. I was paying a little more attention at this point and saw the bones in it. Didn't think too much of it, since there was meat flavoring the collard greens. But when I looked more closely I saw a lot of bones and small bone shards. I couldn't finish that either. But I still ate the delicious boneless cornbread.
Always great food and a pleasure to work with.
Possibly one of the best food trucks I've ever eaten at. The fried chicken was crisp as glass and very well-seasoned, collard greens were perfect, and the honey corn bread was super soft and sweet. Must try.

I recently had the opportunity to try Marilyn's Kitchen and I'm so glad I did! The shrimp, red rice, mac and cheese, and green beans were all amazing. My husband had the sweet and spicy chicken drummettes, which were also delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection and the servings were so generous that we could have easily shared one meal. If you're looking for a delicious meal, I highly recommend giving Marilyn's Kitchen a try - you won't be disappointed!
First tried it from a food truck. Was sold when she told me it was momma's homemade chili on her hot dogs, delicious.
