You have to love a Waffle House. I have been to many in the Columbia area, this is one of the best.

It's waffle house yall. It's good. But dang if they don't want a tip for everything. I mean, if you walk in the door you'll be expected to tip, then they add gratuity to the check, then they expect you to tip your server. We'll in my case I order to-go and as soon as I sit down and say i want to place a Togo order i get looked at like i said voldermorts name or something. It's wild. I order Togo because I can't afford to tip after paying 20 bucks for a meal that was 8 dollars 5 years ago. I don't mind, but I make sure to order Togo since I know I can't tip well. With that being said, having gratuity added then when my bill is 17 bucks and I give the person a 20 and say keep the change and they still give me dirty looks kinda sucks man. I get tipping when you do something. But I literally order Togo. I just grab my food and leave. I've already gave up my whole 20, plus the gratuity yall automatically add. If the company paid a better wage to the workers instead of forcing the customers to not only pay for their food but the labor on their shift is just wild to me. Are company's so greedy now that they can't pay their servers a living wage? Just some things to think about. The food was great tho.

If I could give no stars I would. This place sucked. Waiter got our food wrong then left our cups empty , bacon was cooked so hard we didn’t eat it, I had to ask for a fork for my toddler we had to ask for condiments I also found hair in my burger. We will NOT be returning to this location anytime soon.

Holy cow if I was still dressed and not got down into my pajamas before I opened my food I so would haul my butt back up there and tip my waitress 3 times my bill because she listened and done me right! Gosh I feel terrible now because I feel I don’t shoot her enough $ for her thoughtless. Ugh. Yeah ima have to get back dressed and go back.yeah not too smart. I eat here every couple days so I will make sure she feels extra special next time. She probably knows who she is. Thank you.

I'm guessing Waffle house doesn't require face nets for cooks/employees with facial hair/ Beards???.

I sat at the bar. It was dirty. Wait staff brought my food expeditiously but never came back to refill my water or check if everything was okay or if I needed anything.

Polo made me the best sandwhich I've ever had at a waffle house in 30 years. 14/10, will come back every night.

I love Waffle House and always have. The food is (usually) great. However recently I placed an online order for two all star specials with two drinks and it was $40. That didn’t make any sense to me because I’ve always remembered WH being cheap. I get to the restaurant to pick up the order about 25 mins later (they didn’t even start on it yet btw) and I see signs on the menu and other places stating there’s now a 20% charge for all to go orders. 10% to the preparer (cook I am assuming) and 10% to the server. So essentially gratuity. Now I’m in the service industry myself and have been for 9 years. I will always tip unless I receive the absolute worst service in the world. So I have nothing against the idea of a service charge. Because yes, they are taking time to make the order, bag it up, make sure it’s all correct. However forcing a 20% gratuity on a to go order just seems insane to me. I have never expected a 20% tip when someone orders to go food from me. I could understand 10% at most. But $40 for two meals at WAFFLE HOUSE that I’m taking home and eating is insane. Not to mention, it makes it difficult to be able to “tip” as you’re supposed to when they’re already adding that 20%. It’s just very frustrating and I won’t be eating Waffle House as much anymore because of it. It’s not affordable like it used to be. I understand this has nothing to do with the employees, they can’t control pricing and corporate’s doing (which I’m assuming is what this is) so please don’t think I’m mad at the staff. I just don’t think this is okay.
