Usually my food is good and I always get the ribs but on yesterday it was not good at all. Taste old and dry very upset because I drive 30 minutes for the food. I hope everyone else catch them on a better day. I’m very upset with food and it cost too much to not be hitting ?
Authentic, good tasting BBQ (for the Carolinas)

I really enjoy this place!!! My second visit here and it's still just as delicious as the first time! The staff always welcome you in the door and as you're heading out, it's so lovely! Tyler was really great! The food is worth the price ? I love to get the platter with the brisket!!! The atmosphere is great as well definitely a hidden gem.

Almost didn't stop because I mandate a 4.5 or higher when searching for bbq in my cities I travel. Man am I glad I did, the ribs were unbelievable. Stop in and give this one a try. French Fries were a 7.5 on a scale of 10. Ribs a 9.0. Had chicken too, 8.0 on it.

If you’re in Lexington, South Carolina, and want to experience top-quality barbecue, look no further than Willie Jewell’s Old School BBQ! I recently visited, and every single bite was a smoky masterpiece. The brisket was absolutely incredible—tender, juicy, and packed with that rich, smoky flavor you can only get from expert smoking. Be sure to ask for the Lando special for the brisket—it’s a must-try!
The sides were just as impressive as the main course. The collard greens, baked beans, and Brunswick stew were all smoked to perfection, adding even more depth to their already amazing flavors. The collard greens were tender and well-seasoned, the baked beans were sweet and smoky, and the Brunswick stew was rich and hearty—perfect complements to the BBQ.
The service at Willie Jewell’s was outstanding as well. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Jeff, the owner, went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. His passion for barbecue and making sure his customers are happy truly sets this place apart.
If you’re looking for a place where everything is smoked to perfection and the service is just as good as the food, Willie Jewell’s Old School BBQ is the spot to go. And don’t forget—tell them Lando and Sam sent you! Highly recommended!

Ate here ordered the brisket sandwich with fries and it was really good- my issue is the boss Jeff - he for sure gives off racist energy- smiles at white people and saids thank you and just looks at black people and frowns his face with a attitude and doesn’t say anything- also was offering samples to whites but not blacks- yeah I don’t think he likes black people but doesn’t mind them working- do better and treat everyone the same
Brisket was chopped up and very fatty. Collards were undercooked with too much vinegar. Baked beans just barely okay. Ribs okay. I cannot recommend this place! I can’t blame the restaurant for this but several large “service animals” inside.

Had the pulled pork salad. It was alright. The blue cheese dressing was very bland though. The sweet tea taste like it came from a moldy container. Something needs a good cleaning with that system. The young man that took my order lost his composure when the gift card I was using, was shy 2 cents to leave a 20% tip. So I hit the no tip button to let the card run without kicking it back for insufficient funds. I planned on giving him a cash tip. He seemed too impatient to wait to see what I was going to do and grabbed the tip cup and sat it right in front of me and walked away. I never did quite understand why a cashier expects a tip just for taking your order. I don't tip any other take out restaurants like Wendy's or Burger king...

Walked in to that beautiful smell of hickory smoked meats. Struck up a conversation with staff while I made my selections. Very polite and forthcoming. Ribs were damn near PERFECT. Not overcooked with the bones falling out but instead SUPER TENDER AND .JUICY. Sauces (4) are self service from heated canisters. Nice touch. They even gave me a free sample of the briskett while I waited ( needed a little sauce but still very tasty )
These folks are doing BBQ the way it was intended.

I’m in and out of restaurants and kitchens all day everyday and this place keeps their restaurant as. Lean as anywhere in town. They take a lot of pride in cleanliness and it shows.

We came a few minutes before they opened at 10:56 at stood outside for 20 minutes in the beating sun on a 95° day while the 2 lady's stood there and had a conversation and after sitting there in the heat; sweaty, thirsty and hungry we were finally let in.Brisket was pretty good but you don't get much, pork was a little dry needed to drown in sauce but the flavour itself without sauce was decent and the sauces were nice found their Carolina Gold a bit bland and their Hickory BBQ Sauce just tasted like Sweet Baby Ray's Hickory BBQ Sauce but was still very good and the Sweet Sauce had really good flavour and pairs super well with the brisket and pork my favorite by far on my plate was collard greens although a little salty, the flavour and spiciness at the end was soooo good, baked beans were also pretty dry and a little thing but flavour was great. I wasn't very impressed with their Mac & Cheese and it had a odd after taste. The cornbread was really good. The ribs and collards were by far the best thing I tried. If I came back I would stick with Collards, Ribs, Brisket, and Coleslaw.

Great food, but way to expensive. Unfortunately we can't eat there near as often now due to this.
