“Being our first time here, the service was very good. They explained the menu and told us their specials. We got the double BBQ platter. The ribs were very dry and and rub was salty. We would not recommend getting those. The pulled pork was good though a little dry. The sides were the best part. We had the cole slaw and onion rings. They were outstanding. They had several choices in BBQ sauce for you to try. We will be back, but probably just get the pull pork sandwich.“

The Sweaty Pig sandwich was delicious and very filling. The chicken nachos had tons of toppings and were very flavorful. We also tried the briscuit/Mac n cheese egg roll and the sweet potato crunch. Again, delicious. April, our server, and Brock, the manager, were friendly and fun to talk to. From the time we walked in the door, we felt very welcome. If you get the chance to visit SBH, don’t miss out!“

“I am pretty picky when it comes to bbq because I was raised on it, so finding this place that felt like REAL SC bbq was like tasting a little bit of home again. I like hash even more than bbq so seeing it on the menu just made my day. All the meat was such good quality that you almost don’t need the sauce (even though the mustard is VERY good) because it tastes great on its own.

The staff is welcoming, patient, and helpful. Since it was my first time, I had a few questions and the lady who took my order was friendly and polite answering them and even made a few suggestions to help us out!

There is limited seating inside, but loads outside under a covered sort of gazebo/pergola type thing. The menu is easy to order from and yet still has plenty of options to choose from. The portions are huge and the prices are fair. You get loads of food without having to save up just to get lunch out. This is a traditional, down to earth bbq place, but the quality just elevates far over any of those newfangled chain places popping up. Forget them, remember what good food is really like.“

“DOES *NOT* RECOMMEND I came in on 4/2/24 at 4:30 and paid 42.00 dollars for a family pack and an extra side of meat. We sat down and waited for our order. After about 10 minutes of waiting, an elderly lady probably in her 60's told us we cannot stay and that it was takeout only. She made an assumption that we were even planning on dining in because not once were we asked. She then proceeded to say that they didn't charge us for dine in, so we politely asked if we could pay the extra fee for the plates and dine in costs. She was extremely rude and just kept arguing with us. Even after my wife said, "that's fine we will leave, but can we please get a refund since you're obviously not bringing us our food," she continued to make us feel extremely unwelcome and essentially kicked us out. She just kept saying, "sorry this is strict policy you need to leave." My wife asked for a refund again, and the kid that originally took our order finally gave us the refund.. I don't usually feel discriminated against but she had a personal issue with me and my kids (who were being extremely respectful and just drinking their lemonade the whole time). I will not dine here again. I will not support any business that it partners with. I would highly appreciate hearing back from the owner who we were told was not currently in.“

“I have come here twice now and the food is exceptional! I also like the old fashioned family atmosphere. The prices are on par for other places that serve the same thing but these portion sizes are plenty! They have 6 bbq sauces to choose from so no matter what your taste is in BBQ they can meet your preferences. I really like the sweet potato crunch, green beans, and Mac and cheese but I haven't had any other sides. I'm sure they are great as well! Try it out. It's very close to the Greenville Memorial (GHS) so you should have no problem finding it. Do be fooled by it's simple exterior. Inside you'll find tastey treasures!“

“Picked Mac's at random since we are not familiar with the area. We knew it was going to be good when several people passing us by on the sidewalk told us how good the food was. The place is huge but has a very intimate feel to it. I can only imagine what the crowds will be like during football season!

Our server was friendly, efficient, but not pushy. He humored me and my little quirks with the food without belittling me. The food was hot and we did not have to flag him down for anything.

I ordered the Crispy Cornmeal Shrimp and my son ordered the Smokehouse dip. The hush puppies (our starters) were delicious and endless. My son kept talking about how soft the bread on his sandwich was and how it all melted together after dipping it in the sauce. He couldn't say enough good things about it which says a lot because he is extremely picky about his sandwiches. My shrimp was also delicious. As one of my sides, I got the garlic parm mashed potatoes and they were to die for!! I could go back and order those as a meal by themselves.

I highly recommend this place! It has been added to the top of our list of places to go when we are in the area.“

The atmosphere manages to be both relaxing and inviting without feeling stuffy and the charming staff made us feel completely at home. Everything we ordered was impeccably fresh, sizzling hot, and packed with flavor. And best of all, I learned that pairing thin-sliced cha-dol-bak-ee (brisket) with thinly sliced daikon radish and a dab of chimichurri is my new favorite flavor combination. It was so good that my feet got the tippy-taps!

“Good down to earth pub/tavern. You'd never know it was there because the outside looks like a liquor store with all the beer posters in the windows. It seemed that lots of the locals hang out and they and the staff know each other and that's always a good sign. Our server, SaraGrace was wonderful. She made good recommendations from the menu. Not only that, but she made the best Black and Tan I've had in a very long time! We very much enjoyed the fried pickles, which had a little kick. The rack of ribs was delicious and a great deal at $19.95 and the fish and chips were perfect, with a nice sized piece of fish and side of fries. They have a nice selection of draft beers. “I had read about Henry's being one of the best bbq places in SC, so we took a detour on our trip to try them out. We had BBQ sandwiches with mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, and peach cobbler as sides. The pork is amazing and the sides were delicious as well.
