Stopped in this morning for breakfast, first time in. Service was excellent, the food, even better. Biscuits with smoked sausage patties and sausage gravy topped with over easy eggs, can't be beat. The home fried potatoes, a side that most places don't pay attention to, someone in the kitchen knows how to cook them right, crisp and flavorful. Easy choice to come back here again while in the area. This is a locals place for good reason.

Breakfast Breakfast Breakfast!4 of us from Michigan and Texas...Ordered the Landshark breakfast biscuits and gravy w/sausage. Wow! Crazy good with home fries crispy like potato chips. We loved it on our way to spend a day in Charleston. No one was disappointed. Service great...

Very disappointed. Took over 35 minutes to get our food to go. Fish and Chips left a lot to be desired. More batter than fish and most likely from frozen. Chips (frozen fries) were cold. Oysters were OK and again Fries were cold. Requested Tartar and Cocktail, did not receive any. These two meals cost 40+ with tip and dessert, no drinks. Just Oysters, Frozen Fries and Frozen battered fish, no slaw, no Tartar or Cocktail sauce, no hush puppies.

Seriously one of the BEST little hidden gems in McClellanville off of Hwy 17. From breakfast to lunch and a great dinner on Fridays! There’s so much to enjoy and everything is absolutely delicious as well as some of the friendliest staff you’ll ever come across! Definitely worth stopping in and then coming back!! ???Kid-friendliness: So kind and go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable with bringing young kids!

The food is absolutely great! We got the Shrimp Creole and Cajun Combo. We inhaled our food. Collards are not vinegary. I really love the old school feel of this place.

What a little slice of Americana this place is!I was driving north on Hwy 17 out of Charleston, hungry, and stumbled on this roadside diner not far up the road from beautiful Hampton Plantation. I’m sure glad I did. I was immediately greeted by a friendly hostess, and realized I was just about the only one there who wasn’t a regular. Enjoyed a delicious cup of she crab soup (and what visit to South Carolina is complete without that?) followed by an oyster po boy, topping it all off with a delectable bowl of banana pudding. With that, I was satisfied and back on the road. I strongly recommend the McClellanville Diner to anyone in the area.

We had breakfast here a week ago while visiting the area after a recommendation from a friend. It is a great local restaurant busy but efficient! Staff are friendly and welcoming. Would recommend for some down home cooking in the low country!
