RUN to McClellanville and visit The Bent Rod. We sampled as much of the menu tonight as humanly possibly and each dish was better than the last. Flounder, BBQ nachos, bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers, fried chicken sandwich……. All unreal. FRESH SQUEEZED grapefruit and vodka at their outdoor bar. Owner operators are new and are the nicest people on earth, we saw an incredible band, and I’m telling you…. This is a hidden gem worth driving to!!!!
Well, don’t judge this book by its cover. Don’t judge the location. This place was spectacular. No wonder all the locals eat here. Simple, country food but the handmade fried okra and adult Mac & Cheese with gator was ridiculously good. Give this a go - there is a reason every table was full.

Had dinner on Saturday. Sat outside and enjoyed great music from the Grateful Dead, The Allman Brothers, & Van Morrison. The food was great too. From the Pimento Cheese Burger with tater tots and Grouper sandwich.
