The Bent Rod in the cute coastal town of McClellanville did not disappoint! For starters we had the crab cake hush puppies (the house made tartar sauce that accompanied it was chef’s kiss!) and Dynamite shrimp, which were both delicious! Our three main entrees included the fried pork chops with a side of homemade mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli; Shrimp fried rice and Sesame Seared Tuna that included a side of marinated cucumbers. Don't judge a book by its cover! The Bent Rod is unassuming but offers very good food with a friendly atmosphere. Because it is the only establishment of its type in McClellanville, it is a popular nightspot steeped in local flavor.
