Taverna Philosophia: Aegean Brasserie

Justin outdid himself tonight. This was the best thanksgiving meal that we ever had. Turkey was so moist. The salmon and brussels sprouts scrumptious. The fried calamari was delicious and same with fried spinach appetizer. Then to end the meal, Justin brought us the best chocolate cake ever,omg, I can’t breathe but so worth it. Love philosophia ❤️

Many thanks to the staff at Philosophia for their part in making our celebration special. The food was delicious (meatballs, spanakopita, green salad apps, halibut, ribeye, kakavia mains, and baklava dessert) and the service exceptional. Highly recommend.

We love everything about Taverna! The food is always consistently delicious, the staff is consistently friendly and efficient and ownership has made us feel like family. Well done all around! Thank you, Justin and Dimitri, for this wonderful contribution to our community.

Upon walking up I was very impressed by the beautiful brick & stucco facade along with a very good looking logo on a hanging plaque. my first impression upon entry was over stimulating….. in a good way. The resturant was buzzing, staff was welcoming. decor was stunning and the smell coming from the kitchen was mouth watering. The ambiance was intimate and I was very excited to sit down. The hostess was polite and welcoming. I sat at the bar which is gorgeous, the bartender was super friendly and got me a drink and welcomed me. The food i ordered was prepared perfectly, the seared scallops were the best i’ve had. and the ravioli were extremely tasteful and impressive. great job Chef Justin. Dimitri was very involved in my experience dining in, along with every other guest. He is a great host. Top resturant i’ve been to in the world. Highly recommended for everyone, I will definitely be coming back, for life.

We had a wonderful dinner and experience at Taverna Philosophia. The wait staff was very attentive and helpful in suggestions. The salmon was delicious. I can’t wait to go back and order the mussels.

Brenda and I had a wonderful romantic exciting dinner tonight at Taverna Philosophia in Mt Pleasant the new creation of owner chef Justin Hunt and Dimitri.We were immediately seated at a great table by Dimitri and were pleasantly surprised to see the place full of happy and very satisfied customers. The vibe was elegant yet casual. The new build out from what used to be Bacco was amazing. Our server Nick brought us sparkling water and awesome Martinis and wine. Manager Mimi checked up on us through out the evening to make sure we were ok. We enjoyed Calamari Octopus from the raw bar Lobster Cocktail and then followed by half Lobster more wine shared whole Flounder and a side of mushrooms. Expresso and Baklava for dessert to finish. Over the top 5 star service ambience and gourmet food. Congratulations and thank you Justin and Dimitri for bringing fine dining to Traverna Philisophia in Mount Pleasant. Reservations absolutely recommended.

Authentic Mediterranean cuisine! The food was absolutely delicious! Taverna has a great atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and helpful! They make great recommendations on all sections of the menu. I don’t think that you could go wrong with any item on the menu. Can’t wait to bring my family when they come and visit!

What an amazing experience! We went in for dinner and started with the Sean minor cab and the martinis in Mykonos which were great recommendations from the bartender. We shared the octopus and escargot apps and for entrees we had the branzino and kc strip. All of our food was delicious and the service was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and I can’t wait to come back in to see what else they have to offer!

We had the pleasure of dining here recently. The atmosphere is beautiful and unique. The food is unlike any other restaurant that we have had in the Charleston area. Wonderful flavors. It’s presented in a unique way too. The staff is very friendly, as well. We would most certainly encourage anyone to try this out!

Beautiful restaurant, the most delicious salmon I’ve ever had. Amazing staff and management who completely take care of you. Really good music, just overall an amazing restaurant that I’ll give 5 stars in every category.
