We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and it was three minutes from our hotel so we decided to give it a try. It’s in a strip center so we really were not sure as we pulled up but the second you open the door any worries went away immediately. The atmosphere is fantastic. The decor was done very professionally it Has a very nice look and feel. The menu is definitely not the same old same old and we tried the calamari octopus cocktail as our appetizer for entrées, we chose porterhouse lamb, and the braised short rib, both were very good. Although watch out because the bread that they give you before, the meal is addictive, and you can find yourself full before your meal comes. As good as the food was, but Service was even better our server Carly was a true superstar and one best of the best Servers we have ever had in our life, we can’t not say enough about how amazing this girl was. If we ever come back to Mount Pleasant, regardless of where she works, that’s where we’re gonna go eat that’s how good she is.

My friends and I were visiting for the weekend and our dinner at Taverna made our entire trip. The vibe was chic yet cozy, and was the perfect girls night spot. We tried a variety of different dishes, all of which were amazing. Some of my favorites were the Kataifi Shrimp, Village Salad, & Mussels Saganaki. The staff went above and beyond to give us an exceptional experience - thank you to Nick, Dimitri, & Justin for such a memorable (& delicious) evening. We can’t wait to come back!

This was our first time here, but we heard good things. The atmosphere was beautiful. They redid the whole restaurant from the previous.
We met our kids and grandchildren for dinner and I have to say everything was fabulous! From the wine to dessert and the birthday dessert for my husband. I've been to Greece a few times and the food was very authentic and fresh. This will be our new favorite in Mt. Pleasant and we can't wait to eat at the sister restaurant.

I chose Taverna for dinner this evening because I had not had the pleasure of dining here yet and because this is the only restaurant in Mt. Pleasant that has 4.9 out of 5 star reviews.
We were seated immediately and had service within a couple of minutes.
Our server, Jack was friendly and prompt for our ordering.
We started with the escargot appetizer and it was some of the best I've ever eaten! My son that has never tried escargot decided to try it and he loved it!
We ordered the 8 oz filet, the lamb porterhouse and the skirt steak with lump crap meat. We also had Truffle frites and goat cheese potatoes for sides.
Everything that was put on the table was absolutely amazing! We all shared our plates and we all loved every bit of it!
This was our first time at Taverna but we will definitely be back very soon to experience another delicious dinner!

My son chose Taverna tonight for his 15th birthday and once again we had the most amazing experience! Anthony was our server again and he was just as great as the last time. Thank you Anthony! We try to order different things every time we eat at Taverna because in the past everything is so delicious. This evening our birthday boy ordered grilled octopus because he has never had it and oh my it was so delicious! I highly recommend the octopus if you've ever wanted to try it.
We also had a dozen raw oysters, the NY strip, the whole flounder and the Greek salad. All cooked to perfection! Thank you Taverna for another superb experience!
