Tex-Mex Restaurants near Mount Pleasant

“Walked in and ask if I could sit outside. The hostess asked if I wanted bar or table. I didn’t have a preference but was told she’s only walk me there if I got a table. I’d never been here before and told her that I didn’t know where I’d be going. I settled on a table so I’d actually be shown where to go. Odd but brushed it off. Bartender was taking care of everyone outside it appeared, which it wasn’t a busy time but seemed as if she had a lot going on at once. I ordered the roll I decided on and asked for a suggestion for a second. I went with what the server recommended. Not sure if there was a miscommunication but I was only brought the one roll the server recommended, I didn’t feel like asking where the second roll was. It was good and I’d go back here for sushi. I’ll make sure my full order is understood in the future.“

“We’ve been here a handful of times now and we have to say this is one of our favorite Mexican spots in the area! Probably the favorite. The food the atmosphere and especially the service is top-notch. The staff has gone above and beyond for me and my family over and over again. And even when we mistakenly ordered the wrong thing this time, they covered it and switched it out for what we wanted to order originally. Super patient with young families! We particularly recommend Rafael the server as he was tremendous tonight. We recommend this to anyone looking for good Mexican!“

“I must admit, considering I came minutes away from closing, I still received pleasant and fast service. This place has a food line setup so take your pick taco,burrito or bowl. Everything was good. I will definitely be trying it again to get the entire experience. ABSOLUTELY, Every order comes with Tortilla Chips!!! There Is A Help Your Self SALSA BAR!... I'm not sure if they serve alcohol, but they really should. It would make this place perfect...Moe's appears to be an authentic Mexican restaurant, it definitely tastes like it. The Staff was friendly, I asked for a Tortilla with my chicken bowl and wasn't asked to pay extra (unlike Chipotle; they charge for Everything). There is An Outdoor sitting area... With the weather being such a delight I will be cheating myself if I didn't go back to experience the Outdoor ambiance. At Moe's, You can actually differentiate between white and brown rice. The food was seasoned to perfection... Thank You Moe's ? You Did Not Disappoint.“

“Was in town for a day trip, grumpy goat did not disappoint! Food was epic & our server Laura was friendly, fast, and super nice 😊! Defiantly a nice atmosphere to dine at 😀“

“I'm not going to lie, El Jefe was a backup plan after our original choice for lunch was unexpectedly closed. That being said, I was surprisingly impressed and would recommend consideration for lunch while in Charleston.

They greet you with free chips and salsa. I personally loved the chips and thought the salsa was above average as well. You then get a decent sized menu to select typically tex-mex options. I appreciated being able to mix and match taco styles to try different things. The taco portion was fair and also tasty.

I didn't get a drink but they had plenty of choices. I also saw they offer bull riding, which I'm sure is a hit in the evening. I wish I remembered our servers name, as he was very polite and was training a new server who was also excellent.

Overall, a pleasant surprise. I don't expect to be in Charleston in the near term, but I'll keep this place in mind for lunch on any future visit.“

“0n probably one of their busiest days of the year, springtime opening beach festival, they went above and beyond to get my elderly aunt and I comfortable seating in a timely manner as she’s diabetic, and made sure we were taken good care of throughout our lunch. And of course, the food and drinks were on point! Highly recommend!!“
