We went there on our 61st anniversary trip to the beach 2 years ago. We fell in love with the food, everyone was wonderful. We were thinking of driving down for the day just to eat there….it’s that good, it’s a long drive from Spencer N.C. But it would be worth it. The food is outstanding, and IMHO we’ve never found anywhere that good.

My fiancé and I were there for our first time last night and every thing was delicious and very tasty. Our waitress was very friendly and pleasant. Most definitely hands down one of the best home cooked restaurant we have gone to. Most definitely will be back soon for sure. The prices are very reasonable for all the food you get and also very clean as well.
The food at back home barbecue is terrible. I don’t know if we came on a bad day or what but the macaroni tasted like water the fried chicken was tasteless. Everything was nasty. I don’t recommend going but give it a try yourself because every comment says it’s good but if you like food with no flavor, give it a try.
