Waiter was really nice and attentive. I was a party of one. Even though I ordered as soon as I was seated, the food took 30 minutes to come out! I ordered the fish and chips. It wasn’t anything to write home to mom about. Also, the Marshmallow chocolate cake was supposed to be warm, but it came out ice cold. Floor supervisor seemed really nice, but the overall experience was just meh for me.

Beautiful tap house with ocean views! They don't actually brew their own beers, but they do have over 30 beers on tap, about half local when we went. They also offer beer flights and cocktails. The food offerings are BBQ/burgers/wings and some seafood. I found the prices to be on the pricier side for sure (the BBQ sampler for 2-4 started at $77). But the atmosphere was that of an upscale place, darker walls and mood lighting, and the service was great. Overall would absolutely return!

We heard about the Black Drum and found it while walking the beach. Beer selection is tremendous with 30 different craft beers on tap plus your regular commercial beers. The food is great, I had the southern fried chicken sandwich and my wife had the portobella sandwich on a pretzel bun. We can't stop thinking about it - it was great

This place is the center piece of a resort. Very beautiful, new. I have been there a few times. Great atmosphere! I was hoping the staff worked out their kinks. But it really is a mess. Food could be better especially if it arrived hot. Drinks were wrong for the first round, and extremely weak. I had to ask for a shot on the side. The outside hi-top tables do not receive table service,(dumb policy) so you have to go to a service window which no person was stationed at. I went to the window twice and waited long enough to tap out and give up.(the place was less than 20% occupied). Terrible service. I made a mistake in giving a Tip..... After I left I realized that I shouldn't have given a Tip since I didn't receive any service. I actually had to go inside to get a drink and to pay my bill because no one was stationed at the service window. At one point a manager looking person walked by while I was waiting at the window and just looked at me and kept walking.I thought she was going to get someone to help me, but she didn't. Not worth the price, so many better places in the area.

Treat yourself to this wonderful slice of modern cuisine, family friendly atmosphere, and local brew! The staff was super friendly and well versed in all the nuances of the food and brews. The flounder was the most superb meal on the menu! I highly recommend trying the Black Drum Brewing while in Myrtle Beach!Kid-friendliness: They have a small area available near the pool for kids and adults alike to enjoy games like corn hole.

We have been to Black Drum a few times. Today, we enjoyed their Easter dinner and the unique way of serving/tasting a little bit of everything. Martin was our server and he is the best. We recognize him from past visits. He is attentive, knowledgeable, and deserves 5 stars himself for his customer service.

Went here for dinner in 3/30/2024. M husband ordered the salmon. For $35 you get a very small piece of salmon, small amount of broccolini, a scoop (literally an ice cream scoop) of some sort of mashed potato, with no butter or anything. I ordered the Carolina strip for $45 to be cooked rare. It was overcooked and tasted almost like the meat was on its way to spoiling. The sauce over the steak was iffy and you couldn’t really tell what it was, you get a tiny amount of broccolini (less than what came with the salmon) and some extremely over seasoned (chili powder or something like that) deep fried potatoes. The cherry tomatoes were over smoked. There was no salt or pepper shakers on any tables. None. The wait for our food was 45 minutes or longer. If you don’t want to freeze to death, don’t sit down n the center or along the glass roll up doors. The AC was blasting and it was so cold it was very uncomfortable.

Went there as a family. It was 5 of us. Only 2 of us actually ate most of our food. The mash potatoes aren’t potatoes. They’re the powder kind. The meat was dry with no flavor. The Salmon you could tell was frozen and just thrown in a pot with zero taste. I would not recommend this place or go there again. Our waitress was amazing however and we tipped her very well. It’s not her fault the food was horrible.

Love Black Drum Brewing. We try to stop here whenever we are in town. BBQ platter is delicious and generous, not to mention affordable. The white pie is to die for. Do not hesitate to try it. The other pizzas are good as well. Extensive beer selection, we always get flights to try. This place is in a kind of hidden location because you have to go to the gated entrance of Kingston Plantation, but you just let them know you are there for the restaurant and they give you a parking tag to go back. Also really good amount of outdoor seating, some areas with fire pits and a pretty overlook of a resort pool and the beach.

Great lunch spot close to our hotel. We could view the ocean from our table. I'm glad they have booth seating available because my hip injury causes me a lot of pain in regular chairs. The staff was nice. Food came out quickly and was tasty. We had pulled pork and pulled chicken bbq sandwiches with cucumber salad and mac n cheese. It's within the Kingston resorts, so we were able to use our daily Hilton resort credits. It's right by the Embassy Suites, so a little walk from Hilton and Royal Palms. There are lots of nice places to relax outside. We will definitely return our next visit ?
