Popped in for a few cocktails at happy hour. Drinks are reasonably priced. This place has a dive bar feel, which is not bad but maybe not right for everyone. Staff was attentive and personable decor is somewhat old but it was once a home that was converted to a pub.

We weren't able to eat here. I went to the bathroom and it was so gross. The feminine napkins were overflowing and everything looked as if it hadn't been cleaned. Then I spotted a cockroach upside down on its back. Looked closer and it was moving. My husband and I left so fast. If your bathrooms are gross, how bad is your kitchen? Plus cockroaches made my stomach turn.

Great place, was accompanied by a cat while waiting for my order, which came pretty quickly.
My friend got the shrimp basket with mahi but the mahi didn’t come. When we alerted the staff, they immediately prepared the mahi for us.
The food was all super tasty, excellent tacos, chowder, fries, and shrimp.
Overall 5/5 experience, will recommend in the future.

Bummz was a surprising little gem and they really bring the quality and value and clearly care for their customers. For an actual, stand alone, BEACHFRONT joint, that takes some goodwill and integrity by the owners. It seems that many beachfront places take the opportunity to phone in the food/service and charge quite a bit extra for the location but Bummz was the opposite.
This was the kind of food we had been looking for all week, just simple fried seafood baskets and honest drinks. I got the basket with shrimp and supposedly mahi. It was a mound of perfectly fried, nice quality shrimp with a couple of nice, perfectly fried and delicious pieces of fish on top and a mess of perfect fries underneath with a great little cup cole slaw. Crispy, crispy and delicious. Even the tartar sauce was great. Seems like this kind of thing should not be so hard for a restaurant to provide - fresh oil, correct timing, etc and good quality seafood, served quickly fresh and hot - but I feel this fails again and again. Bummz was spot on.
The price for this was very reasonable as were our drinks. My wife's wine was I think $5.75 and my well bourbon on the rocks was $4.20. These were some of the best prices we paid in town, but for a place on the beach, outstanding! We paid 2 and 3x as much for the same/worse quality in several main drag, off beach clip joints which Myrtle Beach seems to be full of. The structure is very nice with a bar feel in the front and then a large seating area below and a large, outdoor area behind that on the beachside. Service was friendly, quick and professional.
Bummz delivers a great casual dining/bar experience and was among our absolute favorites from our trip. We were fortunately walking distance from a nearby hotel so not sure about parking but I imagine they have that sorted out. I'd say wherever you are in the area, avoid the calabash clip joints and get yourself over to Bummz!

Rating is Off Season. First time to visit. Went for football and to smoke in back bar but didn't see smoking other than outside w no tvs. Didn't play audio to games and just music. Not a game atmosphere
