Ate here on Christmas Eve. We were the last customers to walk in. They sat us quickly at a table by a window. The wait staff was so friendly and the atmosphere was so elegant with all the Christmas decorations. We ordered a specialty drink called, creme brulee. Absolutely delicious. Food we ordered was Eggplant Parmesan, Crab cakes, and Beef tips(filet). All was amazing. My filet tips were cooked perfectly at Medium. And we had desserts. Cheesecake and banana pudding. Both were great.

All in all, I don't think Chestnut Hill needs my review being they have been here in Myrtle Beach for over 30 years and have a great reputation on their own, but it's nice to let everyone know about our experience. 5 outta 5

We have been here on 3 occasions, and each time it has been worse. There was no parking, the dining space was loud and over crowded, and our server had too many tables making her attitude poor and her service very lacking. Both of our meals were overcooked and dry, and they were out of a couple of the dessert options. It took over 15 minutes to get our check and another 10 minutes to pay. We are locals and will not be returning nor recommending this restaurant.

Our food and service was great! We went to Chestnut Hill 26 years ago during our honeymoon while in Myrtle Beach and we wanted to return on our Anniversary trip. The restaurant did not disappoint!

Christmas Eve dinner with friends. Food was enjoyed by everyone, and service was excellent as usual. We had a variety of food including Seafood and steak across our group, and everything was delicious. Nice, serene view from our table of the lake.

We hosted a wedding reception here.The service was fabulous.The food was exquisite, cleanliness, and room arrangement was very pleasing

Service seemed to be uncharateristically slow. Had a large Christmas party ingoing! Food was good!

Loved the old school atmosphere and the view out back. The food was great and our server was very attentive and knowledgeable.

The rating For this restaurant is too high. Service was fine but the entrees were not. The beef tips were overly heavy with teriyaki. My veal dish smelled like bad fish so I scrapped all the shrimp and scallops off. Veal was tender but the breading was mushy from sauce and fish. Very disappointed. Crossed off the list of places to dine, not going back.

My husband and I went there on December 5 2025 for our anniversary. Love everything about it. So nicely decorated fir Christmas. Kind staff from hosts to waiter who was especially friendly and knowledgeable about the restaurant. Learned from him the owners are affiliated with Lee's Inlet Kitchen also. There is something to be said for a restaurant in business for so long! I think Chestnut Hill opened about a year after we got married and that was around 1986. What a great way to celebrate a 40th anniversary.

The restaurant was very quiet which contributed to a good experience. I had the crab cake appetizer and it was excellent. For entrees my wife had the small plate of fried shrimp and I had the beef tips with rice. Both were very good although I am unsure why they also put mashed potatoes on my plate. Service was very attentive and our overall experience was very good.

Really love this place. Visit every year and not disappointed.
