The reviews made it sound like this was a really good place. We had reservations for 7 pm on a Friday night. It was maybe 1/3 full. That's not a good sign. I started with a glass of wine from their wine list and my wife had a chocolate martini. They were both good. Next we ordered some bread as it isn't provided gratis. I ordered the elk chops, they claim it's their signature item and my wife had a salad. The bread finally came after about 15 minutes and the entrees followed about 1 minute later. It would be nice to have a little spacing between the items. Our waitress seemed to be a bit confused although I don't think she had more that 2 tables. Anyway the elk chops were covered in a sauce (blackberry I guess) but it overpowered everything on the plate. The bone marrow bread pudding lacked flavor. Overall pretty disappointing. The lamb ribeye and chicken cordon bleu that are on the website menu are not listed on the restaurant menu. In fact the website menu doesn't match much they offer at all, except the name...lol. So we skipped desert and that came to $150, which was ridiculous for what we received.

What a great dinner. All of the food was prepared perfectly. I started with the scallop appetizer. Perfectly cleaned and cooked. Best scallops I've had in years. The beet carpaccio was fantastic and the smoked sea salt to finish it was an excellent addition to the dish. I had the elk chops for my entree. I am now an elk chop lover. The chops were tender and cooked to my request at medium rare. I highly recommend eating here. It is definitely worth the price.

Your food is delicious and perfectly cooked. We don't eat out very much so explore places we've not eaten at and not go by price...we would definitely go back

The food was excellent — everything from the appetizers to the steaks was flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The service was decent: polite and efficient, though not particularly standout.
My only real critique is the decor and atmosphere. For the price point, I expected a more upscale and polished environment. The interior feels a bit dated and lacks the refined ambiance that typically matches this level of cuisine and cost.
Overall, I would absolutely return for the food alone, but I hope they consider updating the space to match the caliber of the menu

This place used to be the spot I would come to for a great restaurant experience. What a disappointment. Witnessed the bartender putting his fingers in someone's drink to get god knows what out of it..then serving it to them .. food was outrageously expensive .salad and two drinks and two appetizers over 100 dollars and not good at all anymore...im a chef of over 30 years ...so disappointed.
Wonderful smoked old fashion and unique dishes, well made!

My wife had the daily special, red snapper, and a martini while I had a Smoked Old Fashion and Elk Chops. All were excellent!
Awesome as always only issue is they were out of several items in the menu.....and of course, they were items we wanted...
When you've had a nice dinner and the bill is $300 for 2 people, before tip, you wouldn't think you'd be charged for additional bread. We also shared that we were celebrating our anniversary...crickets!
It was our anniversary. There are only 3 or 4 “better” establishments we visit on special occasions and Fire & Smoke has been a consideration for most of them. We made a reservation more than a week ago with a request for a booth and a notification that we were celebrating our anniversary. We had a 6:00 reservation and were running early for a change and new from experience that 30 mins early for a 6:00 would not be a problem of am holiday Friday night. I was right. There were only 4 or 5 tables seated and Adam took us to our table. We passed 3 open booths on our way. It was at the very back of the restaurant, Almost behind the bar right at the entrance to the kitchen. I probably should have asked for a different table. I soon regretted not taking action. It was so dark in that corner I had to use the small flashlight I usually had with me. I was glad I had it. The entree I wanted was “ not available” so I ordered Shrimp,& grits as one of my standby by selections it was as I expected. My wife ordered the fresh fish special. The restaurant was getting a little busier and a lot noisier. There was a constant stream of service help in and out of the kitchen and getting service from the bar walking past our table. It was quite distracting. Our wait for our entrees continued to grow to close to an hour. It was past 6:30 when we got our meal yet there was never an explanation until Adam brought our entrees. The restaurant was about half-seated by that time. All in all we were very disappointed in virtually every area of our experience. Service was slow and inattentive, we were seated at the worst table in the house, our food took forever, and it was not worth the wait. We split a salad, split dessert and each had a seafood entree. We shared a bottle of San Pelligrino water as our only beverage. Yet our bill before gratuity was $150. The decor has become tired and the menu hasn't been updated since the first time we were there 10 years ago. we are done!
