Wow!! What an incredible dining experience!!! Hook & Barrel you have gone above and beyond to make us this a date to forever remember. From the moment we walked up, Akil quickly took care of us with no reservation and had the best spirit! Then we got seated and had the BEST service from David. His personality was contagious and will be the reason we return! Thank you to all the amazing staff for this experience. The food was delicious but the staff was the cherry on top. 🫶🏻

I would come back to this Mrytle Beach for this restaurant alone. It was absolutely phenomenal. The outside has a beautiful patio with nice awnings to offer shade and lots of big fans to help keep those outside cool. The inside was beautiful and very nice. The servers were very attentive, friendly and informative.
The food was outstanding. We had the charcuterie board which had delicious home made crackers and also the pimento cheese dip. For dinner I had the short rib with a side of mac & cheese and roasted brussel sprouts. The short rib was TO DIE FOR!! I cannot recommend it enough. For dessert we had pineapple bread pudding with coconut ice cream and we also had the maple bourbon creme brûlée. They were so so so so good. I think the maple bourbon creme brûlée is probably seasonal but I think the pineapple bread pudding is always on the menu.
If you could order anything I’d say get the short rib and the pineapple bread pudding!!!
I will be back it was too delicious to only eat once!!

Absolutely perfect dinner this evening! The seafood tower was amazing, the bourbon bacon is a must & the shrimp and grits is to die for! But- the best part of our meal was the incredible service! Our server, Sandy, was so attentive, friendly and accommodating!

My wife and I sat at the bar last night and found this place by dumb luck. Granted it's November in MB and a Monday night. This place was full of energy and people. Seating inside and out , with a great porch style swing in front of gas fire place. We sat down had drinks and three courses. Heidi oysters insanely good. The house salad with feta and apples. My wife had the scallops and I had crab cakes. The portions were perfectly planned. I left more than full. The decor which I rarely right reviews at all but this place is cool. I will be back.

We were driving by and noticed this restaurant so we gave it a try and we are glad we did. Got lucky it was a Tuesday night even though it was busy we were able to be seated rather quickly. Great looking place inside with the bar and oyster area are a nice touch, the bathrooms are unique, but let’s just say the food was amazing everything tasted fresh and came out from the kitchen quickly my only little complaint was beverages (beer) was slow coming to table I ate almost my whole entree before I received a refill which was ordered when my food was ordered, However We will definitely be back!!

Went to Hook and Barrel for a birthday dinner. We made a reservation ahead of time, which I'd recommend as it's extremely popular. The ambiance of the restaurant was upscale yet fun. Our waiter was amazing. The meal was delicious, I had the short ribs. ? I also enjoyed the pimento cheese that came to the table on a cute SC shaped cheese board. We even had desserts, which were amazing. They are large and really could be shared, but we just brought the rest of ours to go. The bathrooms were clean and really unique...so unique, I took a picture. There were chandeliers and a common sink area. I would recommend leaving the kids at home and using this for a nice upscale date night. There was only one table in the place with kids at it (very well-behaved). However, it seems a place suited more for an adult night out. We will be back!

Amazing atmosphere and food! We started off with some drinks (an old fashion and a hibiscus cosmo). Our waiter was very attentive and made sure to be aware of our allergies restrictions(gluten free). He also recommended the catch of the day as an entree for my boyfriend which was a perfect ‘medium fish’ as he described it. I on the other hand ordered the braised beef shortribs that absolutely melted with a butter knife alone. Aside from the food the atmosphere is definitely a unique experience especially with the cogender bathroom being connected to the bakery!

And they brought out a little cake to celebrate after dinner (and it was GOOD!) our server Antonija was wonderful and personable and made our experience even better.
