Mellow Mushroom Myrtle Beach

EXTREMELY UNIMPRESSED. As far as someone that comes from out of town to over look the food and beverage industry. I tried placing an order for delivery, they said they stopped at 930. Fine. So I tried to place a pick up order, Matt, the manager? Maybe I'm not sure exactly what his role was but he refused my order for pick up even though he had previously said to go ahead and place the order when I called about delivery... very confusing. I was willing to spend almost $70 for this food. As soon as I stated that I looked over the industry, he hung up on me with zero hesitation, and the company did not answer my call when I called back, they were still open. I would have only been about 5 minutes away. Its sad to see that this generation is more concerned about getting out of work the second the clock strikes close. We still had more than enough time to place the order.

This is my new favorite food spot. Ironically, we have a Mellow Mushroom in my hometown, but I'd never visited. After this experience, I will most definitely be visiting our location. The food was excellent, and Bryan, our server, was top tier. He was extremely attentive and kind. Ask for him if you go; you won't regard it. We will be going once more before heading home - that's just how good it was to experience.

My Husband and I shared the Buffalo wings for an appetizer and the Steak and Cheese Calzone for lunch. We were a little skeptical because their website makes them look very generic and more like fast food. However we were pleasantly surprised. The buffalo chicken wings were very good and the Steak and Cheese Calzone was a good sized and filled with plenty of steak, mushrooms, peppers, onions, and of course cheese, we ordered ours with no ricotta just mozzarella and it was delicious!!!😋 If you haven’t been to the Mellow Mushroom I recommend you give them a try, they have pizza, calzones, burgers etc. And they have inside and outside seating which is always nice! 👍 The only reason I gave them four stars on their atmosphere is because I think they should make their website, and take out menus feel less like a fast food place, as when we got their we were greeted by a hostess to be seated and the atmosphere itself was that of a pub with booth’s, tables a bar, a second section on the other side of the wall, and outdoor seating as well. 😊

Lunch was wonderful. They were able to meet my dietary needs. I ordered a GF pizza. I haven't had a good pizza in years. Later, we ordered chicken wings for dinner. The garlic parmesan was awesome. Our server was very accommodating. Checked on us throughout our meal without being harassing. The ambiance was calming and welcoming.

Dietary restrictions: Wings are baked, not fried. They taste so much better without all the grease.
