went for breakfast for first and last time, coffee was cold right off the bat, I should have known from there, we ordered our food got Nashville hot chicken and waffles the waffles were these little flat things not fluffy at all and we only got 1 to split with 2 chicken finger, the scrambled eggs were good, the bacon was crispy, the home fries were sliced soggy potatoes not at all crispy, the biscuits and gravy were good. and most was maybe luke warm only thing that was hot was the gravy. also everything came in little tiny bowls for us to split so before our waitress left the first time I asked for more bacon and sugar for my coffee, she came back with Splenda, she came around again we asked for more biscuits and eggs, those came pretty quick so I asked again for bacon... 16.99 a person plus 3.50 each for coffee. not worth the 46 bucks for 2 people id rather spent that in a diner or even a waffle house.
We visited with a party of 12. Due to the size of our group we made a reservation well ahead. Our reservation was at 4:45. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told it would be a few minutes and probably closer to our reservation time of 4:45 until the table was ready, which was fine. Time passed, more time passed, parties without reservations flowed in and went straight up to be seated while we waited. At 20 minutes after our reservation I went back to the hostess to check. She told me it would be just a few more minutes. At 45 minutes after our reservation we still did not have a table. We then asked for a manager. While the manager was polite she did not offer any solution other than she was allowing the big party who was at our table to sit until they were done just like she would us. We explained that we had seen many other groups without reservations go before us. After we pressed she did agree to comp a portion of our bill for our wait. Finally, an hour after our reservation we were seated. Food came out pretty quick. It was mostly pretty tasty, other than the Mac and cheese which was not good. The salad and creamed potatoes were very good. Then came time for the bills. We told our waiter that the manager had offered to comp part of our bill. He said he would get her and get the bills figured out. This took forever…and when he came they were wrong. There was a comp but the bills were screwed up. This started about an hour long process of him brining bills, then being messed up, him going to fix them and being gone forever, and then finally returning with them wrong again. The manager finally came to the table and had a bad attitude and argued about the bills. She finally took them and said have a good day! We will not return. We waited over 3 hours of our vacation evening being annoyed and having poor service for food that was good but not the best I’ve ever had.
“Southern cooking” for people who’ve never had southern cooking. I’ve had better food from gas stations. A couple dishes were lukewarm - most were cold. Meatloaf reminded me of something out of a microwave box. Chick-fil-a has better Mac and cheese. Fried chicken was edible, but nothing special - I’d rather have Popeyes or Bojangles. My wife liked the pork chops, my son and I both took one bite and spit it back out. Server did what was required of her, but was not personable at all. She did a decent job of hiding the fact that she hates her job and didn’t want to be bothered with requests but she slammed down everything she brought to the table. Reminded me of my kids when they want to do something fun but they have to clean their rooms first. We took dessert to go, peach cobbler and banana pudding - realized later it was literally about a table spoon full. Maybe a bite and a half? Just go to Cracker Barrel.
Family friendly spot. Love the color coordination in the store. Friendly staff and great kitchen gadgets!
Overpriced. Food cold. Waiter that couldn't be bothered. No option to take food home. Skip and save yourself 80.00 dollars.
Wonderful evening
Wonderful... food, gift items and everything!
The store is great !
The meal was overpriced. Paula would have disappointed at the food ..
it tasted like left overs.
Paula.. you need to change your selections .. nothing tasted fresh
we didnt eat here but we shopped at the store and it had alot of cool stuff especially if your a Paula Deen fan
Visited this establishment in Myrtle Beach hoping for at least some good fried chicken. Boy, was I disappointed! The chicken was hard and very salty. The ribs tasted as if they were cooked days before, and the catfish was dark and fried super hard. Our sides were creamed corn, mash potatoes, sweet potatoes, and coleslaw. All of which were underwhelming and unsatisfying. The two stars are for the super fast service and the strawberry tea, which was good. First, and last visit.

The only thing good about this place was the service. The meatloaf was mushy, the collar greens were salty we sent them back a d got green beans instead and even they were over cooked. The fried chicken was good but greasy as all get out, ribs could have been better if they put some sauce on them, and the chicken fried steak was blan. As for the sides, like I said the collar greens were way too salty, the green beans were over cooked, the mac and cheese had no taste at all and the creamed potatoes should have come with a spoon because it was more a soup then side potatoes. When it came to the dessert, when you expect a piece of cake you're thinking , hmm... apiece of cake , well that is not what you get . You get some kind of mixture on top of what looks like a crumbled pie crust. Not good at all. The cobbler was OK, and from what I was told by the other people in my party the banana putting was pretty good. So summing it up , I spent over 100$ for food that not even any good. Don't trust the reviews on this place because I don't believe we ate at the same resterunt. Paula should be ashamed of herself, I expected better.
Good ole fashioned store. My wife loves basically everything in here and would shop here for years if I let her. Great place to get some good kitchen items for sure.
Staff was very unfriendly to the point of rude! Food was ok but service terrible.
Wonderful experience, courteous service and great food!
I’m from NH, but we road-tripped to Myrtle Beach and I was so excited to try Paula Deen’s restaurant. It was on my list of must do’s for months. Well, today was the day and I was extremely disappointed by the face that it’s basically a controlled buffet with no option to take home your leftovers. I had bariatric surgery, so I only have 15% of my stomach, deeming buffet type places to be pointless for me. I fill up very quickly, but then I get hungry again very quickly as well. So, I was unable to get a drink so I could actually eat since it’s per person, but I was only able to eat about a palm full of food, got sick from forcing it, and then was starving and food less an hour later. I then went to enjoy the dessert they DO allow you to take, but low and behold, another disappointment. There was about a tablespoon and a half of pudding in a tiny container with a half of a nilla wafer and what looked like whatever leaked from the top of a whipped cream can. It basically looked like a half of a jar of baby food dumped in a grated cheese container. I’m so bummed…And hungry 😒
