Paula Deen's Family Kitchen Reviews
The first time that I went to Paula’s restaurant was in Georgia and the food was delicious. Today I went to the restaurant in Myrtle Beach and had the ribs that came off of the bone with the touch of your fork. The catfish delicious along with the side dishes. Need to open one up in New Jersey.
Wonderful experience, courteous service and great food!

Paula Deen's Family Kitchen offers a bright and beautifully decorated setting with friendly service. The restaurant features family-style lunch with plenty of food and refill options, creating a warm, down-home feel. Guests can enjoy a view of the boardwalk from the window seats. The food quality is generally good, with standout dishes like fried chicken and delicious southern meals such as meatloaf, sweet potatoes, macaroni, coleslaw, grits, and biscuits. Visitors appreciate the exceptional service, with staff members praised for being knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The atmosphere is a step above Cracker Barrel, with a gift shop downstairs and the dining area upstairs, accessible via escalator or elevator.
The menu focuses on classic southern dishes, though options can be limited. Recently, customers shared that the restaurant offers an all you can eat family-style meal for $25 per person, with 2 mains and 4 sides to share, but they can also order just dessert for $4 each. The portions for desserts like vanilla gooey butter cake are small but highly recommended, while others like the seasonal cobbler are not well-liked due to texture and taste. The restaurant provides quick seating and service, and guests often leave full and satisfied. The gift shop downstairs sells the same gooey butter cake and even boxed mixes, making it easy to take a taste home. Overall, the restaurant is worth visiting for its good food, nice service, and fun gift shop, but reservations are recommended due to its popularity.
