Went last night with a large group and the food and service were excellent. Fair prices, nice atmosphere. Would visit again when I’m in the area.

I’ve been coming to Myrtle beach for 44 years, and this place is one of my favorites. The owners are Italians who take pride in their restaurant. I’m always apprehensive about Italian restaurants because my 97 year old Sicilian grandma’s meatballs are amazing, and no one could come close until I went to this place. I have to be honest, their meatballs are better (sorry grandma)! Great atmosphere and awesome people. Bellissimo!

Outstanding food and wonderful service! The grouper special was incredible, and the desserts were just as memorable. The owner’s Italian heritage shines through — it feels like a true taste of Italy.

We went to Portofino for the first time. In a nutshell, Portofino is outstanding! Our waiter and other staff were prompt and attentive. We ordered 7 menu items and every singe one was delicious! We went specifically to try their spaghetti carbonara and thier eggplant parm and both were amazing! We loved that the tables are spaced adequately so that the noise level is low enough to converse with your partner without hollering at them. The only problem that we encountered was that, although we were dedicated to trying two specific dishes, we were seriously conflicted by every single offering for the night's specials. So, on the way out, we made a reservation to go back next week! And I expect that the outcome will be exactly the same.

We had dinner based on recommendations from our shuttle driver & we are so glad we did. The food was fresh, very authentic Italian & absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was open, not crowded & very easy to talk. The waiter was fun & professional. Absolutely will be coming back and very highly recommend.

We ordered 2 veal dinners and a bolognese pasta, the veal dinners were extremely salty and there was a tiny bit of meat which was rock hard, the pasta dish was also overcooked
There was no music, plus very loud environment because of people talking
And plus we definitely overcharged for the service and food we got
And the front door person was not the friendliest
We are planning to visit Myrtle beach more often but not coming to this restaurant ever again in any circumstances

The restaurant had a very pleasant atmosphere with a nice ambiance, featuring classic white tablecloths. The service was good and the food was well-prepared. However, a few things fell short. The bread was unremarkable, and the soup portion was surprisingly small. The prices were quite high; for example, the grouper special was $52. A major disappointment was the portion sizes—we left still hungry and without the typical Italian restaurant leftovers for a second meal. The lack of cannolis was also a letdown. Given the high price point and small portions, we probably won't be returning.
