I stayed at the Grand Shores Hotel during the first week of April and had breakfast included in my hotel package through Shoreline Café. I chose this option so I wouldn’t have to stress about meals in the morning—but honestly, I regret it.
The breakfast was supposed to be buffet-style, but from Monday to Wednesday, the options were extremely limited and inconsistent. Some days juice was included, other days it wasn’t—and no one could clearly explain why. On top of that, they attempted to add gratuity *each day* to a buffet meal that was already prepaid. What really upset me was that on the last day, they suddenly posted a sign stating they were now adding 18% gratuity to each meal. That felt unfair and unprofessional, especially after a week of unclear communication.
The only day the breakfast actually felt worth it was Friday—the food was fresh, and the options were better. But if I ever stay at this hotel again, I definitely won’t be purchasing the breakfast add-on. For the price, I could have made something better myself.

Tasty buffet. Affordable
The place is disgusting! It stunk, it was dirty and the service was beyond awful. The server mumbled when he spoke, which made it impossible to understand him. He wasn't too happy when we told him we didn't want the breakfast buffet (that he was trying to push on us)and would like to look at a menu. It took him 15 minutes to take our order. He did bring out my coffee, which I took one sip of and could not drink anymore. It tasted like pond water! After waiting another 15 minutes for our breakfast to come out, I started having more and more bad feelings about eating the food here. At that point we were tired of waiting and tired of being ignored by the rude server, so we decided to leave. We will never go there again. Don't eat here!!

It's a diner on the beach. If you vibe to pancakes and mimosas with your toes in the sand, it's the right place to be

We got to the restaurant at 6:30 pm and they had no servers, only one bartender (Laura). Our family and one other walked in at the same time to an empty restaurant yet it took over 20 mins to get drinks and an hour and a half to get our food. Then they brought all the food except for one person in our group which took another 15-20 mins. When I asked to speak to someone in charge, I was told that the manager was there but she never came over to our table to speak with us. Instead went to the other side of the restaurant with food and drink of her own. The bartender did what she could but for a large hotel restaurant, the service was horrible and food wasn’t much better.

We visit this restaurant every time we come to the beach. I highly recommend the chicken quesadilla, shrimp platter and the Philly. Everything is cooked to order & Edgar the chef takes a lot of pride in his food. The service is great as well. Full bar & friendliness !

I wouldn't recommend this place. My food was terrible. I didn't get everything I ordered either. So we had some disappointed kids who had to wait to eat after we picked the food up. The server was wonderful. I would just pick any other place
