Me and my wife went here for drinks in middle of day everywhere else we tried said the bar didn't open tell 4 bc it was off season but very glad we did we have a very good experience and my wife said they made the best burger she's had in a very long time

Only one person on staff, had to order at bar. Small portions. Shrimp po boy had no sauce and only came with 4 shrimp. Waiter said he could not substitute side salad even though it was stated on menu. Sides came out 10 mins after meal. Waiter was not friendly. Do not recommend.

The beds were the most comfortable beds I’ve slept on during a vacation. Our room was decorated beautifully! Amazing view of the ocean and beach! The pools were all kept very clean. The indoor Beach Pitt bar/restaurant was also nice! The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful! We cannot wait to go back!!

This was our second stay at Carolina Winds. The first time, our room was very old/outdated, and had an awful musty smell. This time we had no issues with our room. The location is perfect, the pools and lazy river are awesome. The friendliness of the staff is superb! We had a great vacation (other than the sub-par weather!) We will definitely stay here again!

Booked our rooms in November during the 'Cyber' deal. The first thing I learned (after the fact) is when you book the rooms. Rooms ending with 01-03 are oceanfront and 04-11 are progressive closest to further away from the ocean and therefore for the balcony have a big difference on view of the oceanview. When it says on their site 4-7 and 8-11 it means room number, not the floor. They classify rooms 8-11 as being further away from the ocean. How anyone would know that is impossible. I asked at the front desk if I am the only person who makes this mistake and they said it happens all the time. If that's so, how hard can it be to explain that or create a map to show an accurate reflection of the property. I've debated quite a bit how I would rate this experience, but I it's more like a 1.5 star than a true 1, or zero for that matter. We were placed in Room 410. Fourth floor, pretty far away from being angle oceanview. The not good items. Generally I would say, this particular owner who owns this property is awful. They clearly have invested the least amount possible in the room, and space. I went so much out of curosity to see and it was last purchase in 1984 via the county records. I've attached pictures as a point of reference. The beds mattresses have not been replaced in a good 12-15 years as they were black Serta's. Extremely uncomfortable and creaked at the slight movement. There were tiles tucked under the bed, and while they were out of the way, who does that? My kids found them. Also we found random mirrors and paint buckets in the closest and strange loose decor items. There was a large amount of mold and dirt in the room. I had to clean it myself. I understand it's humid and dust builds but it was unacceptable to me. The towel rack was something from 1981. I appreciate being minimum but sometimes all you can do it shake your head and move on. The tv was a 24 inch tv. The room is huge and they have this tiny tiny tv in there. Really? The amount of wear and tears on all the chairs inside and out were really really bad. Mold, dirt, rust. The bath sink handles we had to turn them all the way back to cut off the water. The chips on the mirror in the bath were noticed. The overall cleaniness of the room was really really flithy. It was clear to all of us that we just cleaned it ourselves. The on par. The staff was pleasant and kind. The parking was great. We never had to search nor park off site. The kitchen while old has been painted recently and they installed a new dishwasher. The balcony door was easily moveable and the seals on them were recent. The neighbors and pools and overall appearance on the outside was clean. The really good. Just the closeness to the beach. We survived to come back home were we live differently. Had high expectations but hopefully other owners do better. Felt like I got ripped off for sure.
Just back from another awesome visit to Carolina Winds. I can't say enough good about the facilities and the friendly helpful staff. The bar/restaurant is now open again and has great food, drinks and staff. The pools are clean, warm and well maintained. Everything was clean and inviting. Our entire group of twelve had an awesome vacation.

This resort was perfect. Room was well maintained and very clean. Had a great view of the ocean. Pools were very nice. Had a nice lazy river. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Mellisa at front desk was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Will stay here again.

This was our second time spending our vacation at Carolina Winds Resort. It is very clean, huge outdoor pool that’s the coolest I’ve ever seen. It was crowded while we were there and there was still lots of room in the pool anytime we went down there, two outdoor tubs and one indoor . We hardly went out except to eat dinner, we stayed entertained with the amenities there. I’ll be spending my vacations there anytime I’m in Myrtle Beach

My partner and I loved our stay. We didn’t want to come home. The staff was so friendly. The room was clean. We had a small issue of shower not draining and we called front desk and it was done by time we got back which we loved!!
