Family Seafood Market

I was very excited to try this restaurant because I love seafood. But unfortunately, I found a piece of plastic in the crab fried rice that was cooked and melted into the food. Also, the shark tasted very off to me. The customer service was pretty good though, and so was the plain red rice.

The fish is some of the best that I’ve had in this area; however, a tad bit over seasoned (the only reason for 4stars instead of 5). My son loves the crab and shrimp rice.

Public seafood wholesaler can buy fresh fish and seafood items to cook at home or have them cooked for you. I had the shrimp dinner with green beans and fried okra. I found the shrip fresh and the green beans were seasoned well. If I am able to return I do want to try the shrimp and crab rice. I have provided a small sample of their menu. I would definitely go back.

We were fortunate to stumble upon this gem! Both the fried shrimp and shrimp and crab meals were excellent! We look forward to enjoying the food again at this restaurant.

Delicious the crabs are huge

Ten gold stars if possible. I took my wife to get blue crabs she ordered online. I’m not going to write a novel about the great service she received. But I will say this, DC, Maryland or Virginia……FAMILY SEAFOOD IS #1. First of ordering online is very simple. Next, you are only getting fresh steamed blue crabs cooked on your way there. The only mistake my wife made was only ordering 1/2 dozen. Yes she ordered a 2 piece fried whiting that was gone in less than 5 minutes.The crabs was everything she expected and more. All I can say is thank you for the hospitality and great seafood. We enjoyed Charleston and will be back. Fresh cooked food is hard to get the further away from the Carolinas. Stay blessed .

The fish was nice and fresh and seasoned perfectly. I also had red rice and fried okra will definitely return.

Great food, prices and very friendly staff

I been wanting this forever and finally got it and was not disappointed at all!

These people are rude and inconsiderate. I waited for about 40 minutes and the food was not ready. The woman and the cooks are horrible! She treats customers very poorly!

It’s ok

The shrimp was delicious and the fish was too. I had combo with 2 sides. Surprisingly the green beans were the best I've ever ate! The potato salad was good too. Reasonably priced and fast friendly service. No riding around looking for somewhere to park as in downtown. I'll definitely be stopping here again when passing or staying in N. Charleston. Tim
