I had been to Kings BBQ many times but not at his other restaurant so when my brother flew in from Europe, we decided to give it a go. We sat at the Bar for lunch. Super cool 70’s Chinese Vibe (words of the Bar Tender and he was spot on). Good choice of Beers, Cocktails and great Wine list. Try the White Wine from Georgia 🇬🇪- exceptional. You cannot go wrong with the Japanese Chicken Karaage-Don, Fish Tartare and so many other good things on the menu. Add to that great service, mixologists at the bar - I will be back many times

Yea this place rocks. Awesome atmosphere. A restroom you can boogie in. A menu that is simple - but leaves you stammering for what to select.
Overall I would recommend this place to anyone living or visiting Charleston.

Ordered the mushroom bulgogi and the chicken karaggee. Definitely order it as a combo as the daily soup and the egg roll is amazing. Would go back here in a heartbeat.

We sampled a handful of items between the 2 of us and it was all delicious. The server, Brighid, was fun and helpful and even tolerated how drunk I managed to get within a relatively short time (sorry, Brighid!). The Japanese curry Shepherd's Pie was a real standout along with the pierogi small plate. Can't wait to eat here again the next time I'm in town!

This was easily one of the better meals and dining experiences we’ve had in recent memory- and we sure do like to eat. Atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming with both classic and eclectic design. The dim lighting provided us with the perfect date night, but all around us were large groups of friends enjoying the company and the food. We got a handful of cocktails to share- all were excellently crafted, smooth, and lacked pretension. Service from Brighid (Maya Hawke’s doppelgänger) was great; she was really fun and easy to banter with. Just about every employee in the building stopped by during our time in and it’s always great to see effortless and well seamed teamwork afoot. Now to the food- it’s a don’t miss in Charleston. Every plate was conceived with heart and expertise and our only complaint is that we didn’t have more people with us because we wanted every single item on the menu. The Shepherds Pie was traditionally built with kisses of Japanese flavor. The cheese corn bread was almost a dairy drenched Dutch baby with the density of a cinder block (could be a meal on its own). Karaage was the crispiest and most tender chicken I may have ever had- we went with traditional but I’m sure the spicy take is just as perfect. Lastly, the Pierogi…boy oh boy they did not disappoint. As two big boned polish dudes, pierogi is something special to us and these not only didn’t disappoint, they were the highlight of the meal. I also have to say that anywhere else across the country for the quality of the scratch food, atmosphere, and generous portion sizes, you’re going to pay 2-3 times what they’re charging here. Put this place on the top of your list on your next Charleston visit, you won’t regret it.

I think I would have enjoyed the atmosphere more if the service was half decent. Unfortunately, that was almost as bad as the food. Shumai dumplings were hard, dry and flavorless. Cauliflower soup was bland and watery, not sure what the aim was with this one. I only took two sips, hoping the second taste would be better? Unfortunately, it was not. I had barely touched it. Of course the lame service didn’t care, they didn’t check on us to see why we didn’t even make a dent in it, they just took it away and dumped my money down the drain.
So, if you like overpriced bootleg Asian food and subpar service I would recommend this place. Otherwise, save your Benjamins for some other place a little less devoid of character.

Food was pretty good, service was minimal, but the atmosphere was worth it. Great place to hang for a drink with friends.

Bigger than it appears from the outside. Chill modern atmosphere without feel boojie. Food is great. Great for a date night or dinner with friends.

We had lunch here on a Saturday. Had heard some buzz on social media and decided to try it while we were in town. So glad we did! We had the Krab Rangoon cheeseball appetizer and the spicy Karagge chicken and Tuna chiarashi entrees. All were quite delicious and filling. The decor in the restaurant was memorable, as were the bathrooms (haha). Highly recommended, we will be back next time we are in town!

A little loud for my tastes, but every visit has been a series of good servers, fantastic foods, excellent cocktails, and great decor, with an enjoyable and lively ambiance. This is one of the few restaurants, if not the only one, in the whole metro that really knocks my socks off every time, and at a good price, too

My friend and I walked in here accidentally while looking for a specific restaurant, and we didn’t realize it was closing at 9:30 (it was like 9:31). Despite this, they let us sit at the bar and were like “give your food order now and you’re all good!” We were a little worried we would be putting them out, getting there right at closing and considered leaving, but our server was SO nice and encouraging and really made us not feel like a burden lol. The food was fresh and piping hot and I loved the flavors. This leans more into the sour flavors of China (which I love) so that’s good to know going in. The dumplings live up to their hype and honestly I was surprised at how good their bread was?? Overall great service, the vibe was nice, and the food was great.

Fabulous food. Such a variety of flavors. In par with tip restaurants in bigger cities like NYC. Great service as wrll. On negative side if you are just two people there is a tendency to over order. Restaurant a bit noisy for my liking and I ordered a cocktail that basically was a glass of ice which o found annoying. Charge more and do a proper cocktail plz

We were visiting from out of town but kept seeing Jackrabbit Filly as a recommendation and decided to check it out. Highly recommend reservations (we were able to get day of for 5:45). They have a 1.5 hour limit.
We went for dinner and got there early to see if we could be seated early (we were already in the area). They said they would have to see and had us wait (which since we were early- I understood- but the dining areas were empty).
Waiter was kind. Recommended sharing 3-4 plates for 2 people.
We got:
Food
-Garlicky Cucumbers
-Karage
-Pork Dumpling
-Pineapple fried rice -and had some leftovers from the pineapple fried rice.
Our favorites were the cucumbers and karage. Other contenders were the potato and leek dumplings, gnocchi, and veggies
Drinks
-It's a Party (espresso martini) very smooth and good
-As If (nonalcholic) you're typical digestive bitters drink
I enjoyed the small plates style experience. Came out to a little over $50/per person
