Renter beware!! Whatever you do...don't let them book you in a room that faces the front fountain...we were excited about our balcony BUT be ready for landscaping blowers every morning at 7 AND the 10PM parade of plastic trash bins. The noise was ridiculous. Unacceptable actually. Could be avoided very simply if guest comfort was their #1 concern

I love the charm of the hotel and the rooms were so comfortable. The staff from the time you walked through the front door, front desk, and restaurants were so hospitable. It was the best service I have had in a long time, and I travel a lot.

I don't care what Google says this place is not open for breakfast or lunch. They open at 5pm!

I had stayed here recently for vacation with my partner and I. It was a great hotel the staff was very nice. There was quite a bit of construction happening at the time of my stay but I'm excited to come back and see what is being expanded upon.

Beautiful location with a great lobby bar and beautiful rooms for a conference.

My husband and I had a fabulous experience!! The hotel was exquisite and the staff were exceptional!! Ben Edwards is the ultimate ambassador for Charleston Place!!! He went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was most enjoyable!! Will definitely stay here again!!

I was expecting more since the hotel has a 5 star rating. The carpet had stains and the furniture did as well. The customer service was great and the location was ideal as it was right across the street from the market and within walking distance of several attractions. Overall, if you are looking for luxury, I would not suggest this hotel, but if you are looking for a great location, I would suggest booking it.

This hotel is obviously very nice in many ways. Absolutely beautiful building, very upscale shopping and dining, lovely rooms, and wonderful staff. Unfortunately, we are visiting during reconstruction and all day long we have to listen to the sound of heavy construction from our room on the 3rd floor. Hammering, drilling, maybe a jackhammer? It’ll calm down for an hour or so here and there, but basically from 8am to late afternoon it’s happening, which isn’t great when you’re trying to get a baby down for a nap.
I would say definitely stay at this hotel, but not until after spring of 2025 when renovations are completed.

Without a doubt … the best hotel in Charleston .. what’s not to like ? Beautiful , great staff , top notch restaurants and shopping .. luxury bedding . Beautiful gardens and best location for visitors .
