Yokoso Japanese Steakhouse North Charleston

Freaking awesome steak!! And a good chef!! Win win win, highly recommend!! Double the serving of most Japanese steak houses. This picture is after I ate 1/4 of it!!!

The food is delicious and they give us a big amount each time. So much that Id need to take left overs home. The soups and salads are delicious. I dislike the hibachi room because its very dark and smokey. I wanted to move back to the main room.

We had an amazing experience at Yokoso in North Charleston tonight (6/15/26). Our chef, Kwon, went out of their way to ensure our entire table had an amazing time!! With ages ranging from 6 to 70+ everyone had a blast!! Kwon, thank you for sharing your talents and for such a delicious dinner!! You rock!!

Barely any vegetables. Steak was not a good grade and the chicken didn’t taste right. This place used to be good, not any more. Never going back.

Went there for my birthday, was hoping to have a fun time with my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew, we got seated right away. There was very few people here, our server came right away but it took a few minutes for him to bring out our waters, we decided to just get hibachi, I got the teriyaki chicken and shrimp. He brought out our soup and salad right away but we had to wait for our chef. Our waiter never brought us chopsticks but he brought the other people at our table chopsticks. Our chef didn't really engage with us, let alone entertain us. The food was not good, I've been having terrible acid reflux from it, the chicken didn't taste cooked the full way. They didn't even bring out dessert or do any of the birthday celebrations for me. Worst experience I've ever had here, never want to come again.

Make a reservation if you want hibachi. If you go to sushi side, be prepared:
-Wait time long even with reservation
-Food bland or taste is off
-If you order appetizer and entrée. Both will come out at the same time after a 20 minute wait.

Not worth it anymore. This restaurant has become subpar and more bland with each passing year.
