Hoskins Restaurant Reviews
Really good food! Best BBQ I've tasted.
We ate there tonight. I ordered the Beachcomber burger with Pimento cheese and Fried Green tomatoes. It was wonderful. Great food and excellent service. We will be back to try more options.
The dinner meal was not good last night. The meat and vegetables were all cold. They had little or no flavor. Wife’s oysters were heavily braided, and did not have flavor. Coleslaw came in a very tiny container about 2 ounces. Meal was far from being a home cooked meal.

Hoskins Restaurant is a family-owned establishment serving home-cooked meals. Known for its large portions and friendly staff, the restaurant offers fast, good, and filling food at very reasonable prices. The seafood, especially the whole fried flounder, is a highlight, with many customers commenting on its freshness and lack of greasiness. The seafood combo is lightly coated and not greasy, and the thick flounder is often praised for being fresh and not greasy. The menu includes favorites like the Beachcomber burger with Pimento cheese and Fried Green tomatoes, which many customers enjoy, along with seafood tacos. The slaw is homemade with a mayonnaise base and a vinegar finish, adding to the homemade feel. Visitors often recommend arriving early for dinner to avoid lines, as the place is popular and has been in business for 77 years. The cozy, small dining room has many tables, and the wait staff is efficient and accommodating. For dessert, peanut butter pie and key lime pie are highly recommended. Overall, Hoskins Restaurant is a great spot for breakfast or lunch, with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. The diner atmosphere and the quality of the food make it a true gem in the community.
