This place is truly unique. I’m not even sure how they make their snow things but they’re delicious!!! My kids love it. Staff is nice. We’ll be back!

Walked out almost as soon as we came in because the entire store smelled of sewage, husband couldn't stand the smell long enough to finish looking at the menu. Hopeful for a redemption. Kitchen didn't look too promising either, maybe it's just a bad Sunday. Perhaps another day.

I loved going to the local ice cream or frozen custard stand with my family when I was a kid... and Vampire Penguin is a reminder of it. There's outdoor seating (umbrella tables) and indoor as well. A very small strip mall near Lowe's and Target. Staff is friendly and helpful-- though not chatty. VP caters to families, even though the prices are a bit higher than at a crushed ice stand. (Huge difference is that this is shaved SNOW-- and it is way better tasting than the crushed ice). These are more like a gourmet dessert that have "eye appeal" and taste great. (Get small size for your kids they are pretty filling). So to summarize, it's fun because it's not ordinary and the staff takes pride in their creations. Make your own if you're adventurous, which I plan to do next time. Been three times now. I like it a great deal and don't feel weighed down after eating it. Also Fuji is walking distance, if you want to make an evening of it with dinner/dessert. (Oh... don't forget to use the tip jar for the staff)

I love this place!! The desserts are very unique and beautiful! My most recent dessert was not on the menu but an employee suggestion. (The Russell double). Holy cow, it's good! It's my new favorite. I can't wait to go back!!!

I came here because this was the only place that I could find in Anderson that serves boba tea, I'm sure there are other places but this was the only one that I could find. HUGE MISTAKE. I ended paying 7 dollars for a solo cup full of doodoo green liquid with mushy turd balls at the bottom. It was awful. Absolutely awful. After asking for refund I was told that they can't give refund on the boba tea. I was also told that their boba balls or whatever are not made in the store. DO WHAT!?! I'm sorry but if a place is going to sell boba for 7 dollars a cup, they should at least take the time to make the the tapioca. I didn't even know that it could be bought pre made. I'm so sad because I just really wanted a good cup of honeydew boba tea and instead got poop water.

It definitely is an experience. The texture of shaved snow is very hard to explain. I recommend you try it at least once! The shaved snow is really a perfect description of the texture. It's not like shaved ice because there's no detectable ice crystals or chunks. It's not like ice cream because it isn't really a creamy texture and not at all dense. It's more like fluffy snowflakes molded into a dome on your plate. The flavors of the shaved snow are very subtle, but all the extra goodies they serve ensure it is very tasty.I suppose because it's just basically ice, there's no heavy feeling afterwards like there would be if you ate that much ice cream, but definitely come hungry because the portions are a lot!Even the smalls are easily shareable between 2 people. We ordered:The Banana Split which is vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry snow with whipped cream and a cherry on top, surrounded by sliced peaches, sliced strawberry, pineapple chunks, a sliced banana, walnuts or almonds, a few bite sized brownies chunks, and fruit boba bubbles, drizzled with strawberry and chocolate sauce(be aware that it is $16 and only comes in 1 size, but I still would recommend trying it ?)The Count Chocula (small)which is chocolate snow surrounded and covered with cookie crumbles, with a few bite size brownie chunks, drizzled with chocolate sauceThe Almond Joy (small) which is chocolate and coconut? snow topped with whipped cream and surrounded by sliced almonds and coconut flakes and drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce

The shaved ice here is amazing! But trust me when I say DO NOT order the boba milk tea. The milk tea itself is okay but the boba pearls were nearly inedible. I've traveled the world and have had very good and very bad boba but this is by far the worst. If this place only served the shaved ice then this place would have gotten 5 stars from me.

My son and I love this place. It is unlike any frozen dessert I have ever tried. You have to try it to understand. You won't be disappointed! Wish they were open Monday- Wednesday though.

I've NEVER had shaved ice like this before. I got the peach cobbler. OMG! This place is awesome. You will have to try it to understand. I don't know how else to explain it but it's delicious and worth the money!

Great deserts!!! Is it a snow cone? An ice cream? Brownie? Oreos? ALL OF THE ABOVE ?

We visit any Vampire Penguin we can whenever we're traveling. This one did not disappoint. It is unlike anything else you've had. It's not ice cream. It's not shaved ice. It's light and soft and airy and sweet. Yummo!

Not at all worth the hype. Almost $29 for three of us to have frozen water with some toppings. They describe it like it’s a fluffy ice cream, but it’s literally just shaved ice. Very disappointed!

It was good! Its a very light treat so you don't leave feeling bloated. It's not shaved ice and it's not ice cream...it's somewhere in the middle. The dessert is aesthetically pleasing and very satisfying on a hot summer day
