I experienced racism from the bar staff. I also was called ghetto. The manger was called to the event that I was at, due to the bartender wanting to go home. The event I attended started at 6pm and ended at 10pm. From what I was told, the establishment closes at 12am.

Great Place to relax and just unwind. Drinks are the cheapest in town and the camaraderie is great. Different nights have different things going on. Best night is Wednesday for burgers by the Sons of AMVETS! Excellent place to get info for VA claims. #amvets70

AMVETS is always hosting other veteran organizations and events and I’ve heard nothing but great things about their experience. They recently had a get together of 40 Women Marine Association members, most from out of town, who were attending the 4th Bn Deactivation Ceremony at PI and they had such an awesome time that several who don’t live in S.C. joined as life or annual members. They host the DAV every Thursday 8-11. The DAV Service Officers assist Vets and spouses with disability claims. They have great lunches, dinners, music, and even line dancing classes. Awesome place!!

Attended an event, event was coordinated and scheduled but AMVETS claimed the event was never scheduled despite calls made and text conversations. It’s crazy that the establishment claims to be there for veterans, but I guess they’re only there for veterans that pay a membership fee, and will charge other veteran organizations for using something as small as a kitchen for warming up food and yell at them for doing so.

Poor communication and coordination when attempting to organize any event. Will try to blame others for shortfalls in their lack of planning and lack of coordination. They’re an American Veterans association but when attempting to help Veterans in need they cause issues again for their shortfalls.

Very poorly ran, the staff does not communicate well and then blames the patrons for their mistakes. I will not do anymore business or events with them in the future

Good place for veterans, active duty or not, to get together.
Everyone was so welcoming. The facility was bright and clean. Bar prices are very reasonable.

Breakfast on Sundays is outstanding there. Different cooks each week, but food is great. Try it out and I am sure you will be pleased. Friendly atmosphere.
