We got sat instantly but waited over an hour for food! They did take off 15 percent of the food bill because we sat so long. Food was not great and wait time for pretzels, ham and cheese toasted, and hamburger took way way too long. Not impressed.

It's a cool place with potential. Great for a beer and a ball game. Terrible for food. Everything we ordered was horrible (dry rub ribs, ribeye, veggies, mashed potatoes.) Service was very, very slow. The dessert halfway saved the day. We may have caught them on a bad night. It's obviously a popular joint.

An all-around good dining experience. The did was good, the server disappeared a couple of times. We ended up giving the hostess our payment. It would be a good spot to watch sports on the tv's.

Went there (Pt Royal)for the first time today only to get up and leave after being ignored for 15 to 20 minutes…bar tender saw us; the waitress saw us yet there we sat…I think we were one of 2 or 3 parties there at the time…will not go back and will work hard to convince my friends not to go there…what a joke…
Visiting our daughter from out of state we were forewarned that the service at Carolina Tavern was not good, but we decided to go anyway, and in hindsight, we should have heeded the warning. Our waitress Ava was terrible. I will take responsibility for not be clear enough about how I wanted my food prepped, but when the food finally arrived it was the opposite of what I ordered. From there it went completely down hill. Not going into details about our conversation, or how it was resolved, but she was obviously angry and for the rest of our meal everytime she walked by our table she rolled her eyes in disgust.
At 68 yrs of age, this was by far the worst service I/we've ever experienced. And after reading the previous reviews I have to question whether ownership really cares.

Waited over one hour for wings. Manager was not very professional about the situation and it was the server who didn't even put my order in. Another table across form me was complaining about their wait and wanted to cancel their order. Sever did not apologize or give updates. I've worked in the food industry along time and when your dinning area is not at full capacity there is no reason why food should take longer than 20minites.

the wings are great, the service is garbage. was told 30 minutes, when we got there had to wait an additional 10 minutes. nobody said anything just went to the back, i went back to my car and came back about 5 minutes later and food still wasn’t done and had to wait longer. it wouldn’t be so bad if somebody could have said something. gonna find another place to get wings
