From the time you walk in, till you pay your tab the experience is top tier. Servers like Bryanna ensure that your time at the Carolina Tavern will be nothing but enjoyable. I would say what to try, but the truth is all of their food is amazing. Nothing but positive vibes from this place.

Came from Charleston to Beaufort for the day. Decided to stop in for lunch. Our waitress took all tables orders at once, and we watched as every table received their food. Finally, after 40 mins she let us know that ours was being prepared. At that point, we decided to cancel our order as everyone who entered at the same time or after us had already left or was checking out. We were told it was the kitchen that was backed up, when it was clear that or order was never put in. Not the best experience.

Waited to be seated. No problem. Food took over an hour. No refills on drinks. Ignored. If you were not drinking alcohol you were ignored. Do Not Recommend the chicken club sandwich. Advertised as chicken breast with bacon ham and cheese. I received a bun, slab of hard dried ham, 2 chewy bacon pieces and 1 1/2 pieces of a chicken tender. Absolutely the worst out of town dining experience I've ever had. Management was absolutely NO HELP.

Cool place but it seemed as if they paid more attention to the drunks than they did our family. Was there a lil over an hour and a half, they checked on us/refilled our drinks only once! Ordered a fried chicken sandwich&it only had 1 small chicken tender on it....so many more issues but we know when we're in town, not to go there ever again! But hey, if your group is spending that money on alcohol, having a good time, you should be fine??

Great atmosphere, friendly staff. I really enjoyed our visit.Food, left a little to be desired. Admittedly, we were in hopes of "South Carolina BBQ", which they warned us they didn't really have. The ribs were over-cooked, and the traditional rub they used on the wings was based on brown-sugar maybe? Almost candy-ish in taste.I agree with most, I'd come back, at least once more to see if I caught the kitchen on a bad day.

Stopped there for lunch and waited to be seated. Finally a lady hollered from across the room, “sit where you like”! I sat down and for the next 20 minutes watched several waitress up at the bar laughing and cutting up with each other. I never was waited on. Several other patrons by me were having the same treatment. Everyone just finally got up and left!

I was disappointed in the food more than anything else, but I can’t say much to recommend the place other than that the staff were friendly. The chicken tenders are woefully under seasoned (imagine eating boiled chicken covered in flour, that’s what it tastes like) and the sweet potato tots had zero salt on them. I work in the service industry too, and seasoning is so important. We ate here because we wanted something nicer than fast food, but we could have eaten chick fil a for half the price and it would have been seasoned properly too. I hate to say this about any local business, but when you spend hard earned money you have expectations. I wouldn’t say any of this unless I wanted them to know so they can correct it and do better in the future. Like I said, staff were very nice and that goes a long way with me. I’d try it again just to see if it’s improved.

Got the tavern burger with fries. The fries are great, and the burger tasted wonderful. Staff here is friendly, and a very relaxed atmosphere. I'd definitely would come back.

Food was average - Waitstaff was friendly, The unnecessary proxy style combativeness of the manager (via the bartender) without any explanation, regarding app purchased music volume was simply unacceptable - I officially unsubscribe… Recommend anyone reading this go directly to Fishcamp ? or Shellring ? .
