We had a great breakfast here. Sorry we hadn't tried it years ago. Husband had eggs, bacon, grits and pancakes. I had the philly omelet with their breakfast potatoes. Just wonderful! Loved our waitress. We'll be back again. Definitely worth stopping in for a bite and then take a walk around the Cypress Wetlands!!

Great experience. We sat outside with our dog Nova. Aside from amazing service and food for us Humans, Nova got offered a bowl of ice water and a Bacon pup pancake! Love that they are dog friendly, my dog gives 5 stars too, she loved the bacon pup pancake!

The school house was our favorite brunch place before they renovated. We loved the huge tasty pancakes, friendly staff and decent prices. I’m sad to report that it was NOT the same restaurant as before.POST RENOVATIONS April 2024:Service:When we were seated, we noticed our favorite waiter was missing, seems like it is an entirely new staff (new-not better). We had to share our menus with the table next to us who were not provided them.The biggest shock was: out of the 9 tables + new bar, only one table had food served for 45mins! For almost an hour the kitchen produced no new food!Food:It’s the same menu(!) but more expensive. When the food did come out we were saddened to realize THIS WAS NOT OUR SCHOOL HOUSE. The portion sizes have gone WAY down. No more jumbo pancakes that we loved, they’re now replaced with regular sized uncutable pancakes. My mammas way was missing bacon and the eggs were wrong.Everything we loved about the old school house was missing today- please hire (&train) more staff, please bring back the huge pancakes.

We’ve been three times. The food is always really yum so that’s why we go back, but every time we’ve gone there has been an older lady waitress who is grumpy and communicates rudely. We probably won’t go back anymore, sadly.

I love this place , best breakfast in town. Try the oh yeah, the gravy is delicious and they give you a good portion. Can't wait for them to open back up from renovations. By the way who are these dorks giving bad reviews for them being closed for renovations??? Get a life.
