The Retreat: Lake Wateree Dining

Great waitress...Very attentive and pleasant. Beautiful location on the water. Thank you for seating us at a window table.

It was our first time here and we had a great time. Service was great and the food was awesome. We were with six people and all of us had a different dish from the menu and everything was delicious. The view is nice on a sidearm of the lake and the restaurant can be transferred by boat or by road. They had a band playing outside and that gave us some nice entertainment while we waited for our table. Highly recommended!

Have been there many times in the past dinner menu was good ,but this time very limited menu.

We were enjoying a Winthrop College reunion and celebrated at the Retreat. We enjoyed every bite and the surprise dessert! Thanks for a lovely evening! One of our favorite spots!

The retreat is always a good go to in the northeast columbia area. The food service and prices are always good. It's a hidden gem!

Was a wonderful dinner. Food, service, atmosphere were all amazing. Wished we lived closer so we could visit more often. If you are close it's worth the ride.

We had a very quiet and peaceful dinner while viewing the lake. It was not very busy on Thursday at 5 when they opened. Food was very good and the service was great. We plan on going back again.

Always the best! Something for everyone. Overlooks beautiful Lake Wateree. They often have special offerings, so be sure to watch for those online!

The Retreat: Lake Wateree Dining outdid themselves last night. The Taste of Italy was absolutely phenomenal!!! We had a great time with our neighbors and of course service by Olivia was top notch !!!

This is the definition of an "hidden gem" lol. It's 30-45 from me and we had to travel down a couple roads off the beaten path to get there, but it was worth it. My wife and I were very satisfied with our meals. She got the Salmon and I had the Swordfish. Both entrees were top notch even though we got there an hour before close. (Most restaurants' food quality decline the closer you get to closing hours, in my opinion) The greatest part of our visit was Izzy though. She was a delight as a server. Very attentive and helpful in answering questions about the menu. I can't rave about her enough. @The Retreat at Ridgeway I hope you know the value she brings to your establishment. If you're thinking about dining here, i would come before nightfall. You will get a better view of the lake, and I feel that adds to the ambiance. We will try coming earlier the next time we visit.

Outstanding from start to finish. Top notch service, excellent wine, cocktails mixed perfectly, appetizers and entrees were some of the best we've had in a long time. This place is in our top 3.

Tried this place for Valentines Day. The food was absolutely delicious!! It's a long drive for me, an hour from home, but definitely worth it for a special occasion!
