Went there for the first time looking for Shrimp heads/fish heads for my backyard animals.

Fresh seafood and friendly folks.
Quite possibly the best seafood you can buy and make yourself. The boats are literally behind the building. If you want to cook the best then go here to start off you are in the area. You won't be disappointed.
We stopped by the Gay Fish Company during our trip and had a wonderful experience! The shrimp we purchased was incredibly fresh, and the staff couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. We took our haul back to our camper and made a massive batch of shrimp and grits that turned out absolutely amazing. Highly recommend stopping here for top-notch seafood and great service!
Friendliest staff around. They have a great variety! I love family owned businesses!! Support local! Local shrimp are the best shrimp. Also all summer 2026 there is a SC peach stand on the front of the fish companies property. Such a nice guy. Go get you some fresh peaches while you're there!! Tell both places Megan said Hi!!
we got the snapper and shrimp. we deveined the shrimp at home and cooked with veggies. all of the seafood we got was delicious - we may be back tomorrow for round 2. :)

Nice selection, local seafood. On Saturday when we were there they have a flea market.
