Had a historical atmosphere and memorabilia throughout with rocking chairs on the front porch. The waitress was very nice. Enjoyed the BBQ ribs Mac and cheese and shrimp gumbo. The ice tea was spoiled and the only down side was the only other drink options were lemonade or water.
One of the best food experiences I’ve had in a long time. Bubba (whose family owns the joint) was our server and he couldn’t have been more friendly, interesting and engaging. I loved learning about his family, Gullah food, fox hunting… plus I had my first-ever gumbo and let me tell you — shrimp? It kinda freaks me out. So I was nervous. But it was SO good that I got another 16 oz cup to go. Whenever I’m in the area again, I will take whoever is with me to this restaurant.
