This place was very disappointing. Paying over $400 to stay for two nights here and the dining is limited so it seems that they can get away with having such a poor restaurant disguised as upscale. The vibe inside was very uncomfortable and awkward. The cheeseburger honestly tasted like a microwaved cheeseburger from a gas station. It was very chaotic. They forgot the bacon and brought some microwaved bacon out on a plate that was all bunched up in a ball. We said medium but the burgers were well done and just gross. The chef looked so confused when he would bring food out and didn’t ask if every thing looked good before darting off.. clearly taking no pride in his food. The list could go on.. if you can’t even get a cheeseburger right I’m definitely not going to purchase your overpriced chicken breast. This place needs some help. The manager seemed constantly stressed instead of calm and inviting. Wait staff were messy and wearing crocs. Please don’t charge $30 for a piece of chicken breast and some pea puree when your waiters are wearing crocs. The scallops were okay but quite pricey for three and the menu doesn’t mention how many come with it. If you are advertising as a southern restaurant you need to get some Mac n cheese on this menu and add some southern hospitality.
Not pictured: the worst burger I’ve ever eaten

Food was awful and was way overpriced. The service was worse. I don’t think it gets any better until rosie o'donnell (the manager) finds employment elsewhere. Won’t ever go back.

Never even got seated after waiting for over 30 minutes, even though we had reservations!! When we arrived at 7:50pm for 8:00 reservations for 5 people the hostess told us that they were clearing our table and we would be seated “in a few minutes”. After 30 minute of waiting, we were (rudely, with no apology) told that the 5 of us could squeeze into a high top bar table or we could sit outside in the heat. When I told the incompetent manager that we had reservations, she quickly responded that she couldn’t ask people to leave just so she could seat us. Again, this was at 8:30 and there was no apology, just pure rudeness. We are Fripp members/homeowners since 2009 and are polite people who were all dressed well for dinner. We scrambled to make a Bonitos to-go order by phone since places on Fripp close early. Why didn’t the manager offer to place a to-go order for us at the Beach Club since they overbooked?
I have read about improvements in the restaurants on Fripp but The Beach Club has a long way to go!!

This place kinda blows. We had to have our steak redone once and when the second one came out, it was too raw. Everything was kinda salty. In general, the price doesn’t match the price. We paid 180 dollars for food that 2/3 of us didn’t enjoy. The Naan was pretty good.

Megan and each fabulous person, Nate & Luke too, so make our dinners @ Beach Club Restaurant spectacular each and every time! My table I love is always waiting where from the moment we sit down, my husband and I together or when I pop in unexpectedly on a Saturday when I come to our Fripp ocean honey are just so thankful.. The fresh food makes me feel like we are home in Southern California and the deserts well, let's just say, I skip the salad after the entree each time as Megan always makes fresh coffee as I sip the last of my chardonnay and Alden enjoys the last of his cabernet.. Can't say enough good things about The Beach Club! Thank you all!!

We ate at The Beach Club upon recommendation from Kate - who also made our reservations for us. It did not disappoint! Our food and service were exceptional. Thanks to Loraine and others. When we found ourselves without a place to eat on Sunday, we stopped at the Beach Club asking about take out. Kate was there again and found a table for us, and we enjoyed another great meal. Both times, we enjoyed conversations with those at nearby tables adding to our dining experience. A group of full-time “Frippers” even invited us to join them at Church on the Beach! Fripp is so friendly.

Ordered from the pizza truck on the beach club property. The person that took my order was borderline rude with the personality of a brick wall. Asked for a simple modification and the person taking my order didn’t communicate it to the person making the pizza. They sat there and chatted for 10 min before starting to make the pizza, the place wasn’t busy and there was no one else in line. The pizza was good and if they had a manager to control quality you’d have a gold mine. It’s basically the only option for lunch by the beach so they don’t have to try hard and it shows.

Our waitress, Makayla, was wonderful!! Our food and Margaritas were the worst we have ever had in any restaurant.
Trey and Larry are apart of the great service at Palmera Taqueria.

Service was great, however we couldn’t finish even half of our meals. The salsa appeared to be tomato paste and not real salsa. Would not recommend or go back.
Stay away from the Guacamole! Highly disappointed. The rest of the food okay- corn was a stand out. Poblano ok - the rice was one of my favorites!
